Ferralet Side Effects
Generic name: ferrous gluconate

Applies to ferrous gluconate: oral tablet.
You should not use this medicine if you have hemochromatosis, hemosiderosis, or hemolytic anemia.
Call your doctor at once if you have:
bright red blood in your stools;
black or tarry stools;
coughing up blood or vomit that looks like coffee grounds; or
pain in your chest or throat when swallowing a ferrous gluconate (the active ingredient contained in Ferralet) tablet.
Common side effects may include:
loss of appetite;
green-colored stools; or
temporary staining of the teeth.

Frequency not reported: Gastrointestinal discomfort, anorexia, diarrhea, nausea, heartburn, vomiting, constipation, fecal impaction, darkening of stools, gastrointestinal necrosis, gastrointestinal perforation, gastrointestinal stricture, epigastric pain, hematemesis[Ref]
