If you are currently being treated or have recently been treated with temsirolimus, you should let your doctor know before receiving influenza virus vaccine, H1N1, live. Depending on the dose and length of time you have been on temsirolimus, you may be at risk for developing an infection from the vaccine or have a reduced response to the vaccine. In some situations, your doctor may want to delay vaccination to give your body time to recover from the effects of temsirolimus therapy. Conversely, if you have recently been vaccinated with influenza virus vaccine, H1N1, live, your doctor may choose to postpone treatment with temsirolimus for a few weeks. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.

If you are receiving therapy with temsirolimus you should avoid grapefruits and grapefruit juice. Grapefruit can raise the levels of temsirolimus in your body and lead to dangerous side effects. Do not increase or decrease the amount of grapefruit products in your diet without first talking to your doctor.
