Zuranolone may cause sedation, dizziness, confusion, and trouble walking. The risk and/or severity may be increased when combined with other antidepressants or other medications that can also cause sedation. Let your doctor know prior to receiving zuranolone if you are currently using alcohol or receiving treatment with trimeprazine, as you may be more likely to experience sedation-related side effects. You may need a dose adjustment or more frequent monitoring by your doctor to safely use both medications. Do not drive, operate machinery, or engage in potentially hazardous activities requiring mental alertness and motor coordination until at least 12 hours after taking zuranolone. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.

Zuranolone must be taken with fat-containing food to ensure adequate absorption of the mediation. It is also best to avoid or limit the consumption of alcohol, as it can increase drowsiness or other nervous system side effects of zuranolone. You should also avoid activities requiring mental alertness such as driving or operating hazardous machinery until at least 12 hours after taking zuranolone. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
trimeprazine food
Applies to: Temaril (trimeprazine)
Ask your doctor before using trimeprazine together with ethanol (alcohol). This can cause uncontrollable movements, agitation, seizures, severe dizziness or fainting, coma, very deep sleep, irregular heartbeats, and high or low body temperature. Use caution when driving, operating machinery, or performing other hazardous activities, these medicaions may cause dizziness or drowsiness. If you experience dizziness or drowsiness, avoid these activities. It is important to tell your doctor about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doctor.
