Ask your doctor before using apomorphine together with kava. Using these medications together may cause apomorphine to be less effective. If you are receiving treatment for Parkinson's disease you should preferably avoid kava, since it may worsen your condition. If kava is used, you should be alerted to the possibility of excessive sedation and monitored for a decreased response to apomorphine. If your doctor prescribes these medications together, you may need a dose adjustment or special tests to safely take both medications. Alcohol can lower your blood pressure and add to the effects of apomorphine. Drinking alcohol while taking apomorphine may decrease your blood pressure and cause drowsiness. This can cause nausea, extreme drowsiness, slow heartbeat, headaches, and dizziness. If you take apomorphine with alcohol tell your doctor if you have any of these symptoms.
