Usual Adult Dose for Breast Cancer
222 MBq (6 mCi), with a range of 111 MBq to 222 MBq (3 mCi to 6 mCi), as a single intravenous injection of 10 mL or less over 1 to 2 minutes

- The recommended dose for an adult weighing 70 kg is 222 MBq.
- Determine the dose strength with a suitable dose calibrator prior to administration.

Administration advice:
- Assess pregnancy status in females of reproductive potential before administering this drug.
- Before administering this drug, ensure that the patient is adequately hydrated, and instruct them to continue drinking water and urinate frequently during the first hours after administration to reduce radiation exposure.
- Visually inspect the drug solution. If particulate matter or discoloration is detected, do not use.
- Use aseptic technique and effective radiation shielding while administering this drug.
- Consider imaging patients with this drug before beginning systemic endocrine therapies that target the ER.
- For image acquisition, position the patient supine with arms above the head, if possible.
- Start image acquisition 20 to 80 minutes after administering this drug.
Storage requirements:
- Store at temperatures ranging from 20C to 25C (68F to 77F).
- Keep upright in the original radiation-shielded container.
- Use this drug within 12 hours after its synthesis.
Preparation techniques:
- Use aseptic technique, waterproof gloves, and effective radiation shielding while withdrawing and preparing this drug.
- Dilute with 0.9% Sodium Chloride Injection, USP, if required.
General:
- This drug is ineffective for imaging the human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) or the progesterone receptor (PR). Tissue biopsy is advised to confirm recurrence of breast cancer and to verify ER status by pathology.
- Dispose of any unused drug in compliance with applicable regulations.
Patient advice:
- Drink sufficient water to ensure adequate hydration prior to and after administering this drug and urinate frequently during the first hours after administration to reduce radiation exposure.
- Advise patients of the radiation risk of this drug.
- This drug may expose the fetus to radiation when used by pregnant women.
- Avoid breastfeeding for 4 hours after this drug administration to reduce radiation exposure to a breastfed infant.
