Moderate Potential Hazard, Moderate plausibility. Applicable conditions: Biliary Obstruction, Renal Dysfunction
Ammonium molybdate injection contains aluminum that may reach toxic levels with prolonged administration if the renal function is impaired. Additionally, molybdenum is excreted in the urine and the bile and doses may need to be adjusted, reduced, or omitted in patients with renal dysfunction and biliary obstruction. Caution and monitoring is advised in patients with renal impairment.
