"I was diagnosed in 2018 with CMV anterior uveitis. I started Valcyte 900 mg twice daily for 2 weeks, then was tapered to 450 mg twice daily for 2 months, then 450 mg once daily for 6 months. But once I stopped the medication, the symptoms flared again (blurred vision and severe headache with high ocular pressure, almost 50 mmHg). The worst thing about this medication is its side effects; for example, it lowers the WBC, causes infertility, and I was getting sick easily; mood changes, and the last thing is sometimes this medication may cause stomachache."
