For Performance Anxiety: "It's a miracle!! I've been struggling with performance anxiety since high school, and it has interfered with my life greatly. I actually enjoy the thought of public speaking, but I fear my own anxiety! Anytime I would speak in front of a crowd I would automatically go into a state with a pounding heart beat, sweaty and shaky hands, and a shaky voice. It was visibly uncomfortable to watch. I took 20mg of propranolol 4 hours before a speech I had to do for work, and 20mg more an hour before, and poof! All symptoms of anxiety were gone. I was still a little nervous right before the speech naturally, but once I got up there, it went so smoothly. No tremors, no fast talking, no pounding heart beat. I truly recommend this."

For Anxiety: "I've just been prescribed these today and Im feeling a little better already I've recently come out of a 6 year relationship not by my choice and I've been really down and having panic attacks which is no good when trying to look after a three year old but I'm feeling a lot less tense and my minds not on overdrive like usual"

For Panic Disorder: "I'm only on 5mg for additional control of Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome along with 125mg of Amitriptyline. The amitriptyline was causing a high heart rate at current dose. Propranolol has helped bring my heart rate back down to normal along with helping my anxiety. Unfortunately I think it would work better if I went up in dosage but I can't because my blood pressure is getting to low. Side effects I had that went away with time were tiredness, diarrhea, feeling flat on emotions."

For Anxiety: "I was prescribed with Propranolol 80mg for anxiety while driving... I was so scared to drive! My mouth would go dry (my mouth would stop producing saliva - seriously!), I would sweat under my arms profusely, my legs would feel like jelly after stepping out of the car, my feet would twitch as I was SO nervous! I take one 80mg tablet before driving (I sometimes take two if I'm feeling very anxious). I resumed driving today and it was a much better experience! I didn't sweat at all, I don't feel scared, my legs don't feel like jelly, my mouth still goes dry but it's not a huge problem like it was - as I could not produce saliva at all as I was so nervous! Lastly, I do not twitch at all! I do not have any side effects, such as nightmares."

For Benign Essential Tremor: "Propranolol-I have been taking for 2 years, works pretty well ,but when nervous tremors kick in enough to aggravate me. Side effects are so bad I do not know how much longer I can keep taking. Doctor sent me another medicine to try , side effects scary -nightmares -suicide so on an so on. I am afraid to try. Propranolol side effects I have-hard to wash feet -put socks on -tie shoes -weight gain- poor concentration -memory problems-clusters of tiny itchy blisters-major leg cramps -there are days I can barely walk. I started on 40 mg twice a day -stomach problems, major Charlie horses in thighs. So I dropped down to 10 mg three times a day for a year -still to much . Now on 10 mg twice a day can barley walk . Going on 61 years old."

For Migraine Prevention: "I was originally given this for social anxiety disorder with no effect at all. I noticed that it had made a difference to my migraines though. I was getting them everyday, without fail. And I wasn't allowed anymore painkillers after being on codydramol for a year. Over the counter medication wasn't doing anything for it either. Once I started taking Propranalol I noticed they were becoming less frequent. And if it does come on bad from a stressful day over the counter medication combined with it works. I take 2 a day everyday and haven't had a migraine for a good few weeks now. The longest has been about 6 weeks with no migraines or even headaches."

For Performance Anxiety: "Have had performance anxiety all my life. Have been trying numerous things like books, courses, speaking circles etc. Normally I would practise my presentation over and over until I knew it by heart. Conclusion is that nothing really worked and practising did not make it better. I now use propranolol 20 mg and my experience is that it brings me back to the person that I really am. Actually I'm a very good presenter, only the anxiety negatively influences this. Best medicine ever, career saver! Would highly recommend it."

For Benign Essential Tremor: "Having essential tremors for 30 years I was used to having them, Then they changed I was also getting the head and voice tremor along with my hands so I decided to get treatment for them. Doctor and Neurologist answer was Propranolol. Basically I spent 3 months in HELL. I had almost every side effect, cold hand and feet I was tired all the time I had no energy I was dizzy and lightheaded. my blood pressure got too low and I didn't want any "alone" time with my boyfriend. And that was all from 5mg at night. It did help my head and voice tremors but not my hand ones at all. Doctor took me off of it and still weeks later I'm left with the side effects ...."

For Migraine Prevention: "Had a migraine/headache daily for months over right eye etc nothing helped. Doctor finally gave me 40mg propanalol in twice a day (total dose 80mg) headaches completely gone. At first I was sleepy and about hypotensive but this was just the first three days. Since then feel like my usual self but without this annoying headache/migraine and nausea. 10/10 - only problem is I'm worried they might take me off propanalol and the headache will come back.... could I be on this indefinitely? Mmmm"

For Migraine Prevention: "I've been on propanadol for three weeks started on 10mg and increased to 80mg now on 160mg. I think I will be taken off it as it does nothing. I get sharp stab in the left side of my head causing 10 in pain then it decrease but get another seconds later. It's like a shock then strong pain then can feel my ear pumping away. Nothing showed on my scan 5 months ago but got another appointment in two months. The pain first thing of a morning is unbearable. Iburophen works in a high does 800mg but it's taking longer to kick in. My elbows both of them feel broken each morning so maybe it's something to do with my bones. I've done everything and this elec shock won't go at least 5 times per day everyday. I'm shattered and would rather be dead than suffer x"

For Anxiety: "I have been suffering with this anxiety problem for years and it was starting to interfere with my life. I am a confident person socially, but my fear of presentations was huge and I would my voice would tremble to the extent where it sounded like I was full on crying. I researched medication for this fear and found propanolol. My doctor prescribed me with 80mg Half Inderal (Propanolol) and despite what some say, he was not hesitant about giving me a prescription and said he regularly gives it to musicians/public speakers etc. It has worked wonders for me, I no longer embarrass my self and now feel happy and confident. You may still feel nervy, but the adrenaline does not kick in. I have not suffered any symptoms and only take it seldomly."

For Migraine Prevention: "I was put on this medicine for migraines a few years ago and had to get off of it quickly. It made my chest so tight--I felt like everything was in slow motion and my heart couldn't beat normally! Very scary...maybe it was an allergic reaction, though! I've heard it works for some people with migraines!"

For Anxiety: "This drug is and amazing drug for anxiety. I've been on it for about two weeks and I feel so much better. I cannot take an SSRI or SNRI for anxiety because The side effects are too bad. This drug keeps my body from reacting to stressful situations. For years, probably 30 years I have had physical problems because of this stress. Irritable bowel and many other physical problems. I have a very stressful job and it was getting so bad I didn't want to go to work. Now I don't react physically to stress and I am feeling like I did as a younger person. This drug has so little side effects and it's been around for a long time. I wish I would've tried this year's ago."

For High Blood Pressure: "Went thru thyroid storm and now 11years later I'm still on 160 mgs of propranolol per day. I have no side effects and I do like this medicine. Hopefully I'll never get a tolerance to it. I do take 40mg tablet 4xs a day. I like it better than extended release."

For Migraine Prevention: "I've been on this medication for about two weeks and take it for chronic migraines along with 600mg Gabapentin and 100mg Trokendi. My Propanolol dose is 40mg, 2x daily. 1 tablet w/breakfast and 1 w/lunch. I take it this way to help prevent and lessen the nightmares. They're slowly getting better and really, aren't anything compared to chronic migraines. I saw some people had awful side effects. I suggest Gabapentin. Even at a low dose of 600mg, it seriously helps. It helps with pain during an attack too. So, think about Gabapentin, it might be worth giving a try."

For Migraine Prevention: "Okay, so basically: my psychiatrist prescribed this as a way of managing my situational/social anxiety. He said its ability to lower the sympathetic nervous system response would help. Indeed it did. BUT EVEN BETTER: I have had ocular migraines with auras and the works for the last several years. I thought they were infrequent, but because they mostly affect my neck and eyes I have a hard time telling. I didn't realize this drug could be used for migraine treatment, but I took it for anxiety and suddenly realized that, for the first time in quite a while, my head didn't vaguely hurt. I think I may have been experiencing some semi-chronic moderate ocular migraines without realizing it, and this took the worst of it away! I'm tickled."

Inderal (propranolol) for Benign Essential Tremor: "March 22, 2017 - I took Inderal Oct - Dec 2016 for hand tremors (never helped). I was prescribed 40mg but 1 month later complained of side effects & was prescribed 10mg. While I was on it, I experienced major fatigue (esp. w/ the higher dosage), I was constantly freezing, I just was not myself. Idk when the short term memory loss started, but it is HORRIBLE, & while taking Inderal on the lower dosage, I experienced an episode of what I think was acute psychosis. I read that acute psychosis & short term memory loss could be temporary or for ever. I'm very scared. I want my memory back, & I'm afraid for my life & others' lives."

For Performance Anxiety: "Propranolol is so amazing. I used to have really bad panic attacks before presentations in college and now I take this medicine an hour before I present and turn into another person. I no longer tremble, my heart no longer pounds like crazy and I can talk normal and be completely comfortable in front of a big lecture hall. It honestly works so well."

For Benign Essential Tremor: "I had been on 20mg generic propranolol for 15 years. When I went to fill my prescription for 2015, I was told my generic propranolol was discontinued. I had to buy a new generic p, at 10 times the price. The new generic was not working to lower blood pressure. My doctor said I needed to take 60mg. When I got my dose up to 40mg, I then noticed my blood pressure was starting to come down some. At 40mg I developed whole body shaking that continued in all waking hours. Every time I either reduce my dose to 15mg or stop taking it, the whole body tremor stops. My last doctor says it is not the propranolol, that it is my thyroid meds. I have been on same thyroid meds since 2012 and never got this shaking prior to this new generic propranolol."
