For Influenza "I went to urgent care after 18 hours of wicked temperatures, cough, feeling miserable. Doctor prescribed Tamiflu 2x a day for 5 days. Had extreme diarrhea within 2 hours of the first dose. By the middle of the night, my fever broke, which was the only good thing. Day 2 of meds, very nauseated, and then insomnia... Not a wink of sleep ALL NIGHT. Not worth feeling like this from a medication."

For Influenza "I will never ever take Tamiflu again! After the first dose, I had stomach cramps and diarrhea. But after the third dose, I’ve been so dizzy I can’t even close my eyes, nauseous, can’t sleep. I took it at 8:30 pm. It’s currently 2:30 am, and now vomiting. Had I known any of this prior, I would’ve never even started taking it, and I will not continue to take it either!"

For Influenza "Last night at 9 p.m., the flu came on. I had a headache, severe aches and pains, a fever that went up to 101.8, ice-cold numb hands and ice-cold toes, nausea, and dizziness. I immediately took a Tamiflu 75 mg. I drank a lot of water and TJs cherry juice throughout the night. I was at least 50% better the next morning at 6. And now, it's 1 p.m., and I don't have a fever, no aches and pains, just a little grogginess/weakness. I think because I took the Tamiflu immediately, it really worked well. I'll definitely keep a box on hand at all times."

For Influenza "Friday night, I began Tamiflu with 600 mg of Advil. My symptoms had grown into full flu agony since Thursday afternoon. By Sunday, I wanted to eat solid food. My complaint is that I have become dehydrated. Drinking fluids whenever I am awake. No nausea or diarrhea. Miracle drug in my view. I am 64 years old, in pretty good health otherwise, diet and exercise are good as well. Your medical history will determine if this is good for you. My husband had the flu shot. Within 24 hrs of me getting the flu, he got it, and not a light case. We are waiting for the doctor today for him."

For Influenza "Took Tamiflu three times over three days. I was supposed to take it twice daily for five days, and the pharmacist messed up on my label and only prescribed it for once a day. However, I probably couldn’t have handled twice a day. Tamiflu gave me severe and terrible nausea that hurt. It made my brain swirl in an ocean and debilitated me to one position in bed. I could not move, or I threw up, even dry heaving. It was like I was poisoned. I do not recommend this unless you have no other choice. And by that, I mean like maybe you had a low immune system or something, and Tamiflu was all that could help you or something. Please know going into this that Zofran does nothing for the nausea, and ginger root supplement pills helped maybe 25%. But with the ginger root, it interferes with other meds you may need for flu symptoms like Ibuprofen. Tamiflu left me feeling like it was the end of my life and gave me very depressed thoughts."

For Influenza "I started feeling the symptoms on Monday mid-afternoon. Got a prescription for Tamiflu and took it by noon Tuesday, and by Tuesday evening I felt much better. Didn’t think it would work that fast. No vomiting, nausea, or diarrhea. Although the doctor told me ibuprofen and Tylenol for headaches and fever, so I’ve been taking that with it to help."

For Influenza "Not effective at all! Made me very nauseous and dizzy! I would rather suffer through the flu! I took it for the full amount of days, but had to cut to once a day instead of twice just to get through it! Never again! It is noted on my medical chart to not give it to me again! I do not think insurance covered all of it! I think it was 30-40 dollars out of pocket?"

For Influenza "One daughter diagnosed with flu. I was feeling achy, and another daughter was as well, so we were prescribed Tamiflu as well. I have the trickiest stomach in the world and have had no side effects. I have had two doses, and though I was starting to get aching and extreme fatigue, I’m already feeling better. One of my daughters, however, has had nausea."

For Influenza "I just got diagnosed with the flu yesterday, but have had the symptoms since Wednesday night. I got prescribed Tamiflu, and it made me feel 150 times worse. I took one dose yesterday, couldn’t eat or sleep. Every time I ate, I threw up all of my food. Couldn’t risk throwing up the medication. I woke up today, and I felt so much better. I ate, took an Advil, and took Tamiflu, and now I feel bad again. Every time I take it, it makes me feel awful. I just wanted to be able to eat some real food besides popsicles. I am miserable."

For Influenza "I took my first dose without food and did feel pretty nauseated, but as long as I took it with food, I had no stomach upset. I didn't experience any other side effects, and after my third dose, I noticed a big difference in how I felt. I definitely recovered more quickly from the flu than I have in the past."

For Influenza "After 3 days of coughing, I finally started running a fever and went to the doctor. I was diagnosed with flu type B. Tamiflu was prescribed for twice a day. Two hours after taking the first dose, I noticed that I was extremely irritable and began vomiting. I won’t be taking any more. My sister had a similar experience. Unfortunately, I don’t know how effective the drug is. It works well for my mother, who didn’t experience nausea. Be aware of the side effects. For me, I would rather have flu symptoms than have nausea and vomiting."

For Influenza "Today is day 3 of taking Tamiflu, and they weren't kidding when they said possible side effects. I have dizziness, a splitting headache, and diarrhea. However, my flu symptoms have lessened in the first 24 hours. I went to urgent care with a temp of 102+ with nausea, cough, body misery, and earache. I was given an RX for Tamiflu, the pharmacist said to take my first dose right away (it was 6 PM), then the next dose at bedtime. I waited till midnight. Then started the next day at 9 AM and then again at 9 PM and so on. It keeps me awake at night and anxious during the day. I can't wait until it's done in 2 more days. It works, but I don't like it."

For Influenza "I have a high fever, body aches, fatigue, vomiting, and nausea. I got Tamiflu with Zofran (I asked for it because I have a sensitive stomach). I take the Zofran 20 minutes before the Tamiflu and never threw up or felt nausea. I am on day 3 and feel almost 100% better, just having a little fatigue and leg cramping."

For Influenza "I began Tamiflu on my second day of fever. Vomiting/nauseous within an hour of taking it. Keep at it for 3 more doses then this morning didn't take any. I'll consider the vaccine next year! Other products you can return for a refund if dissatisfied. Wonder how that would go over?"

For Influenza "Symptoms before Tamiflu - body ache, earache, persistent fever, coughing - feels burns inside and it hurts, vomiting while coughing, head pounding. Took only two doses so far and I stopped. I got insomnia - I could not sleep - I need sleep to rest. I would lie in bed and be unable to sleep. Also, I got nauseous, not for the whole day though. The medication is excellent in response to the flu!!!! My fever broke down after four hours. The coughing stopped except for the stuffy nose. It stopped the earache and body aches! Besides that, I drank lots of teas or water. I ate a bit."

For Influenza "Fever, chills, nausea, pounding migraine. Friday, took a dose Friday night, Saturday morning, and by Saturday night was feeling better. I was skeptical about the drug and scared of vomiting/nausea/diarrhea side effects but glad that I decided to try it. To those who get nauseous taking it, take it with a piece of bread and ginger ale. LITERALLY with a piece of plain bread (I had Hawaiian sliced) and ginger ale. DO NOT eat a heavy meal. The RX says, 'Take it with a meal or a piece of bread.' Nope, do not eat a meal, you will get nauseous. I do want to add that those who are more nauseous than others probably have more mucus in their stomach. Just my opinion. I was taking Mucinex at the same time, so it helped with being nauseous from mucus greatly."

For Influenza "Not sure if people actually get the purpose of this medicine. This medicine is to fight the flu and shorten it by 1.3 days, this medicine will not cure the flu overnight. After just finishing my second dose, I can say you have to take this medication with food. I took it without food and felt nausea within 15 minutes. Felt a lot better after forcing myself to eat. As far as how well it's working, I can say this is my 4th day of the flu and my symptoms are slowly receding. Still feel god awful, but it's reassuring to know something is trying to kick this flu's butt."

For Influenza "Live in central Texas and did get a flu shot. Flu symptoms started on Monday at 3 a.m. I took Tamiflu Monday at 7 p.m. (Got the flu 2 years ago and learned you have to take it quickly after symptoms). My fever is better (hovering at 99.8), and aches are lessening, but man, it makes me sick to my stomach for about an hour after taking it. However, it's worth it. Just took my third dose. Hopefully, I'll get back to normal."

For Influenza "High fever and body aches began on Monday. Went to doc Tues morning and tested positive for Type A flu. Was prescribed Tamiflu and took first dose early Tues afternoon. My fever ceased by Weds morning, but the pain in my head began to increase dramatically. It's Thursday, and I now have diarrhea and am extremely nauseous. I could not sleep last night at all. The pain in my head was unbearable. I decided to take one of my migraine pills to see if it worked, as I could not take it anymore. It relieved it slightly. My mouth tastes horrible, and I think it is what is making me even more nauseous. Doc sent med for my young girls for prevention since they were exposed to the virus as well. They have not had any side effects. I do not think I am going to take my doses today. I cannot continue with this nausea and headache."

For Influenza "I was diagnosed Thursday with Flu B. The symptoms started the night before. The Dr. said I would be 150% better 24 hours later. It is now Sunday, and while I have managed to keep everything dosage in, it has been a struggle! I did have a flu shot, so between the shot and the Tamiflu, I thought I would be better off. I have not left my bed except to go to the bathroom, as moving my head makes me feel like I have to vomit. I am not sure if I could say this nausea and dizziness is from the flu or Tamiflu, but I am afraid at this point it may be making me more sick than I would be otherwise."

For Influenza "My daughter had a fever Wednesday night of 101.6, figured she was getting a cold, she slept fine that night. Thursday mid-morning she had a temp of 104.3, brought her to the doctors, confirmed case of influenza A. She started that Thursday mid-day, it is now Friday night (she's had 4 doses). She now has a temp of 99.2, no aches, her eyes look less watery than yesterday. Now she has a runny nose, but other than that, she is doing good. I've been on Tamiflu for 2 days and have had slight nausea and diarrhea. But eating has helped with the nausea, the best bet is to take it with food."

For Influenza "My daughter, 11 yo, was prescribed Tamiflu for influenza A. She took it for a day, it helped to break the fever, but at a high cost of the worst nausea in her life. We decided to discontinue taking it, as side effects are worse than flu symptoms on their own. Please be cautious of severe nausea if you decide to take Tamiflu."

For Influenza "The only negative I experienced with Tamiflu is nausea. I finished my last dose Monday night, and now being Friday, I still feel nauseous. I almost feel like I am relapsing, but I read mild flu symptoms can last up to 2 weeks (such as fatigue and aches). Not to mention this drug was over $100 with insurance, but overall I am happy I took it, as it very well may have sped things up for me. Good luck, everyone! I am definitely getting the flu shot next year."

For Influenza "Came down with the flu and felt like I was dying. My niece told me she took Tamiflu and felt better. I went to the urgent care facility near me where I tested positive for the flu and was prescribed Tamiflu. It wasn't long after taking the first pill that my symptoms seemed to subside. I did feel nausea after the first dose, but those side effects disappeared with subsequent doses, as did most of my flu symptoms. I stopped vomiting, didn't feel achy, didn't have chills, and was able to get back to work and function normally. Tamiflu is a miracle drug!"

For Influenza "The only symptom I had not had from the flu was vomiting. I brought the Tamiflu home and took a pill. Within an hour, I was feeling very nauseated. I tried my best to ignore it and keep my stomach down, but within another hour, I was in the bathroom vomiting horribly. It continued the entire night. Now, the next morning, I still cannot hold down anything. $100 down the drain, can't even take it."
