For Influenza "Tamiflu rocks! Had horrible chills, headache, cough, body aches, and temperatures over 101. Took my first pill on the second day of the flu and was 60% better the following morning and feeling almost normal by that afternoon. No side effects that I could tell. I had a flu shot but got it anyway. Just my luck."

For Influenza "I am 40 years old, fever for three days with chills and body aches. Went to the clinic and had a temp of 103.4, within a couple hours of taking Tamiflu with Motrin (advised by the doctor) my fever was down to 99 degrees. I just took my second dose and am starting to feel better. It was $124 with insurance, but totally worth it."

For Influenza "I have had the flu many times over the last half-century, but last year, even after the flu vaccine, was the absolute worst. This year, symptoms hit me like a ton of bricks on a Friday afternoon: pulse of 120, fever of 102, terrible chills, and body aches. I headed straight to a clinic (the doctor's office was closed) and got a prescription for Tamiflu, which I started immediately. When I awoke the next day, my symptoms were much better. I still had the flu, but a mild case."

For Influenza "Tamiflu should be off the market, and I will never, ever take it! It is hard to believe that some people had absolutely no side effects or just a little. I had to go back to Quick Care on the 4th day taking it because I thought I developed something really bad, and because I was not able to distinguish between flu symptoms and side effects anymore. What I feel now is worse than when I got the flu. The constant nausea, headache, body aches, rash that I developed, swelling torso, insomnia, frequent crying, and bad thoughts about dying (yep, I know!) made me stay out of work for 5 days!"

For Influenza "This really works. I was amazed at the results, almost bedridden, took the pill, felt better within 24 hours, still tired, the body aches and flu-like feeling mostly gone. Didn't believe it would work, but it does."

For Influenza "Was able to get a prescription within 48 hours of my flu symptoms. Horrible body aches, headache, sore throat, cough, fever, and chills. The stuff has really worked! My symptoms were reduced considerably, including my fever after two dosages. I have not had any of the other problems mentioned in these reviews at this time, well into day two of taking the pills twice a day. Although I had absolutely no appetite, I made sure I ate a little something with the pill. This may be partially why I have not had digestive issues, I really have not been eating. Other than a little bit with the pill twice a day."

For Influenza "Two weeks had flu symptoms. Went to the ER the next day with a horrible headache, fever, and body aches. Tested positive for the flu and prescribed Tamiflu. Took it right away with food and felt even worse! Throwing up, acid in my stomach, insomnia, and then got the panic attacks and depression. I did some reading, and there can be issues with this with Tamiflu. I am not on any anti-depression medication or anything. But I actually felt like I could die, and it would be better. The thoughts racing through my head were horrible. The doctor gave me Ativan to help me sleep and calm down. Only took half a pill at night to help sleep. I got over the flu after about five days. Another two days of feeling bad from the flu would have been better than what I experienced. Never again!"

For Avian Influenza "Had sore throat 7P by 7A, was congested, achy, and coughing. 2 days later went to stat care, diagnosed with flu A, for which I was prescribed Tamiflu. Also at this time, I was taking prednisone and Duoneb. I continued to feel worse, not better: extreme back and leg pain and headache. The headache was so bad it hurt to stand up or bend down. I felt like I had ringing in my ears and pain in my jaw. I had insomnia, weird dreams/thoughts, slight confusion. I almost felt like I was losing my mind at times. Freaking out because I am having to miss more work because I’m not getting any better, when I come to find out after doing my research that the Tamiflu is making me sicker. There are a lot of side effects. Like other people, I assumed that if I took it as prescribed, that in 1-3 days I would start feeling better. That was not true at all. Each day I felt worse and worse and worse. I’m starting to think if there was something wrong with my brain, my mental functioning!! I did not take the last dose!"

For Influenza "Amazing how fast it worked. Flu came on surprisingly swift from relatively good to being miserable in a few hours. Started Tamiflu later the same day. I suffered from the classic flu symptoms for the rest of the day and through most of the night, but awoke with all chills and aches and pains gone. With each pill, you can pretty much feel the symptoms wanting to restart at the dose point of 10-12 hr. I'm on day 3 currently and am symptom-free, but realize the flu virus has two to five more days of working through me. Truly impressed."

For Influenza "It was three days before Christmas 2010, and my husband and I were out and about shopping in the malls and stores for Christmas gifts. It just came on him really fast: ache, shakes and sweat, fever of 104.7, sniffling, sneezing, coughing, aching everywhere, stuffy head. So bad that he was out for the count, and we thought we would not get to go anywhere for Christmas. Well, then to top it off, my son, who is 14, got sick too. So I was working, taking care of them, and you guessed it, got sick too! We all went to the doctor and got Tamiflu, and wow!!! Miracle medicine. Would love to kiss the person who found this! We were coming out of it the first day we all took it. The best 1-10, it a 100! Thanks so very much for not being sick anymore."

For Influenza "I was in bed, aches, chills, 102 fever, dizzy, all the good stuff that comes with the flu-just miserable. I tested positive for the flu and took my first dose that evening. Within a day and a half, I feel so much better. I still have some symptoms, but I don't feel like I'm knocking at death's door."

For Influenza "If your flu symptoms are bad enough that you feel like it is the end, then this medicine is a godsend. But the side effects really do suck. I had a ton of sinus pressure, sneezing, body aches, and delirium from fever before I took this. These symptoms went from a 10 to a 5 overnight thanks to Tamiflu, but now I have nausea and headaches to deal with. The nausea especially is really bad. If your flu symptoms are mild, I would keep this in mind."

For Influenza "I was hit suddenly this past Saturday evening with headache, joint pain, chest pain, chills, and a fever of 100. I had a telehealth appointment yesterday (Sunday) and began my Tamiflu around 1 pm (oral). Last night was rough as well, fever close to 102 and meds doing little to knock it down. Chest sore, difficulty coughing, achy, sweaty, and overall miserable. Around midday today (Monday), I began to feel much better, three doses of Tamiflu in. Temp holding steady at 99 and none of the aches and sharp bone pains. My advice: get the Tamiflu early, get in bed and stay there, drink, drink, drink-water, ginger ale, jello, pudding-and spend your time resting. Yes, it works."

For Influenza "I was prescribed Tamiflu yesterday evening, and it's been about 24 hours since my first dose. I feel amazingly better, although not 100%. Just after the first dose, I woke up with some nausea and body aches, but nothing like the morning before. After the second dose and some ibuprofen, I had no fever, no body aches, and was able to eat a whole meal. My pulse was 146 at the doctor's yesterday, and now is in the 80's again! That is amazing. They told me it would only shorten the illness by 12 hours, but within 12, I felt better. After 24 hours, I feel about normal, aside from some body aches and a slight sore throat."

For Influenza "I got a prescription within 48 hours of being hit with symptoms. Sunday night, I got symptoms. Sick with chest congestion and aches, 102 fever and chills. Started on Tamiflu twice daily Monday afternoon. Horrible Monday night, horrible all day Tuesday. Wednesday morning, I felt hugely better, weak but no more fever, appetite back, went to work. I'd like to give credit to this medication."

For Influenza "Woke up at midnight, nauseated and with horrible body aches. The next day, I didn't think I could get to the doctor but went to the urgent care. Dx with flu based on symptoms, but I declined the nasal swab due to cost. I waited to take it until I could confirm I had a fever when the Motrin wore off. I woke up feeling so much better!! This medication has been a miracle for me. It's my second time taking it."

For Influenza "Flu came out of nowhere on a Saturday. Chills and headache were the worst but also had cough, earache, body aches. Temp was 102. Spent the weekend in bed, not sure I would survive. Went to the doctor on Monday and tested positive for the flu. Started Tamiflu and a Z-pak. By Tuesday, I was feeling much better. Expensive, but I do not regret the cost because it worked, and I only had to pay the copay. Many years since I had the flu, and it was much worse than I could imagine. Would pay the whole $80 if needed."

For Influenza "I began taking Tamiflu at about the 72-hour mark. They say this is borderline that it can help at this stage. I felt so bad (headache, body aches, hot/cold, cough) that the doctor decided to try it. After 2 doses, fever broke, aches are gone, and only slight coughing. Still a little fatigued. Wasn't sure this would work... But I believe it now."

For Influenza "Symptoms before Tamiflu - body ache, earache, persistent fever, coughing - feels burns inside and it hurts, vomiting while coughing, head pounding. Took only two doses so far and I stopped. I got insomnia - I could not sleep - I need sleep to rest. I would lie in bed and be unable to sleep. Also, I got nauseous, not for the whole day though. The medication is excellent in response to the flu!!!! My fever broke down after four hours. The coughing stopped except for the stuffy nose. It stopped the earache and body aches! Besides that, I drank lots of teas or water. I ate a bit."

For Influenza "I have taken this medicine twice. The first time I took it within the 48-hour period, and my symptoms were gone within 3 days and made a full recovery over a 6-day period. Now, as I write this, it is a different experience. My flu symptoms started two days ago with body ache, chills, headache, throat ache, and vomiting. I started Tamiflu later that day. My body ache and chills have gone away, but I have been throwing up more and feel so lightheaded. I have been drinking tons of fluids and Pedialyte. These meds are extremely powerful, and I'm not sure if it's because I'm petite, but my doctor told me to discontinue these meds (day 2 now), and I feel very uneasy on them. Godspeed if you try them!"

For Influenza "Came down with the flu and felt like I was dying. My niece told me she took Tamiflu and felt better. I went to the urgent care facility near me where I tested positive for the flu and was prescribed Tamiflu. It wasn't long after taking the first pill that my symptoms seemed to subside. I did feel nausea after the first dose, but those side effects disappeared with subsequent doses, as did most of my flu symptoms. I stopped vomiting, didn't feel achy, didn't have chills, and was able to get back to work and function normally. Tamiflu is a miracle drug!"

For Influenza "In order for Tamiflu to work, you need to 1) test positive for influenza and 2) need to start taking it within 1 to 2 days of first symptoms. I started getting a stuffy, runny nose and thought it was a cold. Then, the next day, I started feeling tired, body aches, and started getting a fever. I went straight to the doctor and did a rapid test, which was positive, and started taking Tamiflu that evening. Now, on day 2, I still feel tired but overall much improved with no fever. If you look at the people who are complaining that Tamiflu doesn't work, it's because they've passed that initial 48-hour period, and by then the virus is full-blown, and the antiviral Tamiflu isn't going to be as effective."

For Influenza "My husband tested positive for the flu on the 2nd day of having symptoms. His doctor prescribed Tamiflu for both him and me since I slept in the same bed while he was sick. One day later, I started to feel symptoms as well: aches, chills, and fever. I immediately started the Tamiflu and was only out of commission for 1 full day. Tamiflu is amazing if you start it early enough."

For Influenza "My daughter barely benefited-if at all-from taking Tamiflu. She began taking Tamiflu liquid on the first day of contracting the flu (her annual flu shot failed to protect her). A week later, she still has flu symptoms, though they remain moderate and never became severe. Her fever peaked at 103°F, it is now 100.5°F. Her nose remains stuffy, she still has a mild cough and body aches. Overall, I am fairly dissatisfied with this product, especially considering the high cost of $86 after insurance."

For Influenza "Believer, despite mixed research I’ve found on the internet about whether this works or not! My 18 m/o, 4:00 a.m. on Monday, had a 103.5 fever, which I immediately knew was the flu. I rushed him to the ER and was prescribed Tamiflu for his influenza A and prednisone for his breathing. We are at day 7 and he is 100% with a lot of energy. Oxygen levels at the ER were 88, now they are 98, but still keeping a close eye as to not miss anything. I was on Tamiflu because I have severe asthma and felt the aches. It took me five days to feel 100%, but I’m thankful nothing serious has happened. I lost a cousin to the flu, so I don’t mess around once I feel the symptoms! Don’t wait! Take with food!"
