For Influenza "I was diagnosed with type B influenza this morning and was prescribed Tamiflu. I was feeling pretty good until I took it. The chills came back, and the cough got worse, and I cannot breathe through my nose. Now that the Tamiflu is wearing off, I am starting to feel better. I paid $106.00 for my prescription, now I am wondering if I should keep taking it or throw it away? :("

For Influenza "I came down with flu symptoms on Sunday (chills, back pain, couldn't get out of bed). My husband took me to urgent care on Monday, where I was diagnosed with a B strain of flu and given Tamiflu and Zofran. The first dose of Tamiflu on Monday night was okay; I made sure to eat and took the Zofran. However, early Tuesday morning, I woke up with terrible stomach pains and diarrhea. The diarrhea continued all day and night Tuesday (if you've ever had a colonoscopy, it was exactly like doing the prep for that), and Wednesday I skipped the Zofran and took Imodium instead. I did okay Wednesday until evening; along with the diarrhea, I also experienced terrible chills and back pain that made it difficult to take a breath. I won't be taking any more Tamiflu."

For Influenza "At the onset of flu symptoms, I made an appointment to see the doctor the next morning. I started taking Tamiflu an hour later, so it was definitely less than 36 hours before the onset of symptoms. I experienced some fever, chills, aches, headache, sore throat, and congestion for 2 days, and then felt much better each day after that. I am amazed at how quickly the flu resolved."

For Influenza "I became very ill with severe vomiting, diarrhea, headache, fever, chills, aches, exhaustion... and I had a 5-month-old baby to take care of. All this despite the flu shot. Twelve hours after the initial onset, my doctor diagnosed me with the flu and prescribed Tamiflu. It slowly got better, and two days later I am somewhat functional... which is good, because now I have to take care of my baby and my sick husband. We'll be getting him Tamiflu, too!"

For Influenza "I started aching in my chest at 5:00 pm. By 6:00 pm, I started coughing non-stop. By 7:00 pm, my shoulder muscles were aching. Around 9:00 pm or 10:00 pm, I felt like I was getting a fever, but I didn’t know because I was still at work. Finally, I got home around 2:00 am, took my temperature, and it was 102. I had chills, and my gums even hurt. I knew I had the flu. Fortunately, I had Tamiflu on hand and started taking it within 9 hours of starting flu-like symptoms. That night, I kept the fever, but my coughing became less. The next morning, no fever, felt a little dizzy, but fatigued. Rested that whole day in bed. The following day, I felt cured. Unbelievable how this medicine works if you catch the flu early enough."

For Influenza "My son had a fever of 104 degrees, he experienced chills and the whole nine. Within 1-2 doses, he was back to himself. After the first dose, he instantly changed."

For Influenza "My family has all gotten the flu this year. First Daughter, who had a flu shot, came home not feeling well. The next day she was worse: chills, pains, coughing. The doctor put her on Tamiflu, and two days later she was able to function, still feeling fatigued and coughing. Then my second daughter came down with the flu and decided to ride it out. Seven days later she is still coughing but finally able to get out of bed. Then my husband began with a cough, and by the next morning he was aching all over. The doctor put him on Tamiflu, and within two days he was without the cough and regaining strength. I came down with the flu, so I contacted my doctor and immediately was put on Tamiflu. One day into it, I felt like I was knocked down and struggling to get up. After two days, I am starting to feel better. We also mixed Mucinex with the Tamiflu. It appears the earlier you can take Tamiflu, once signs present themselves, the suffering and length are dramatically shortened. I would do this again!"
