"Retacrit did work every time I used it. I had to use it for three instances of low hemoglobin. I received the shot once a week for low hemoglobin. It took three to four weeks every time I needed to raise my hemoglobin to 11 or higher. The shot does make me very tired for the rest of the day of the shot."

"Medication seems to have an effect on the anemia issue, but there is also seemingly an ongoing need for regular injections, as the hemoglobin count does fall below minimum acceptable levels."
