For Vaginal Dryness "It burned pretty bad the first time I used Replens. I also tried prescription Imvexxy, and it burned. I’m now trying hormone pellets and a hormone cream because I cannot have intercourse because that burns too. I am so frustrated. I can see why women give up intercourse. I won’t be using the Replens again."

For Vaginal Dryness "About 10 min after using Replens, I felt the leaking and started getting a burning feeling, so I googled it and found this site. Like everyone else, I wish I had seen this first. The burning started to get more intense. Luckily, I have a shower that also has a handheld sprayer. I went in and spread my vag and sprayed cool water inside for a while to try to flush it out. Not sure how far up it went, but the burning stopped and it felt better. Tossed the rest of the box. Will now try to figure out some other way to get rid of dryness to alleviate painful sex."

For Vaginal Dryness "I bought this product and the lubricant gel. Well, even using both together in the same day for sex, I experienced pain and bleeding. I paid a lot of money with the hopes of not having painful intercourse. After several attempts in the past year, I am at a loss as to what will work."

For Vaginal Dryness "You can easily get compounded hyaluronic acid (in a decent size tube) for this-what I do. I use the applicator, and some nights I also add in a bit of Ovestin, which is estriol and safe to use there. You don't need a script. No issues. I have tried everything else. The Ovestin is prescription, and I like that applicator."

For Vaginal Dryness "I've been experiencing a lot of dryness and tearing, especially since my hysterectomy, and was recommended this to combat my symptoms; the side effects aren't really worth it, though. The discharge I can understand, but after a few uses, it feels like any irritation I had is just getting worse. It stings when I put anything in my vagina now, and since I also tried to use it externally, my vulva has been itching and burning for days. I wanted to be patient and see how I'd fare after a few more doses, but things just keep going downhill, so I'm going to find another product instead. Replens does help with dryness, but that's the only good thing I think I can say about it."

For Vaginal Dryness "I’m type 2 diabetic and it causes me to be dry. Tried this 1x and now I feel like something was seriously wrong! Thought I had an infection, but it’s a reaction to this stuff. Swollen inside and out, feel raw with burning, and urinating is very painful. Will not use again."

For Vaginal Dryness "I've been using this for a couple of weeks after suffering severe itching for months with no explanation as to why - I'm only 29, so still unsure why this has been happening. I did have a number of infections at the beginning, but I've been tested for infections since and don't have one, been given steroid cream which only helped briefly, etc. Vaginal moisturizer was recommended to me by a nurse, so I asked my GP to prescribe it, and they prescribed me Replens. It's been really helpful so far, after months of itching, I'd say I'm 75% more comfortable externally and 90% more comfortable internally. The only downside is the gunky off-white discharge that everyone's mentioned, which is pretty annoying, but fortunately, I'd read the reviews and their website, so was expecting it. Seems a small price to pay for being more comfortable. I may find something less messy in the future, but for now, this will do and has been a lifesaver."

For Vaginal Dryness "So I had no menstruation for 3 months. And I needed a product for dryness, so I was reading up on this product, and I thought I should buy it. Very expensive. After I started using it, 2 days later, I've been on my menstrual for 2 weeks, after not having one for 3 months, and yes, I did see clumpy white discharge."

For Vaginal Dryness "I have persevered with Replens pessaries on and off since menopause for over 5 years. It burns like crazy initially, and the pessaries scrape the skin going in. Very painful. This then turns to constant itching. There is momentary relief, having that feeling of lubrication, but by the next day, it has all fallen out, and back to square one again. The pain of insertion puts me off using it as it gives me urinary infections. I've been to about 6 different consultants who said there was nothing wrong with me, and I just didn't know where to turn. I have had no relief for nearly 6 years. Going to the toilet is painful, and sex is completely out the window."

For Vaginal Dryness "Thought I would try because of vag dryness. On second round, noticed thick white/grayish discharge on first use and second, it has increased, it's quite unsettling, but if it's dead cells, omg, how much more. Now feel slight cramping, unsure if it's the product or my cycle. Nothing has changed with the dryness, debating if I should continue use."

For Vaginal Dryness "Same here, was fine for the first few goes. Now I can't get it anywhere near me as it feels like when you eat a really hot chili, only up there. Going back to my GP. There has to be something better than this."

For Vaginal Dryness "Used Replens 6 hours ago, and I'm typing this laying in bed in the fetal position, in tears with the worst cramps I've ever had in my life. It feels like period cramps, but so much worse. The drama of menopause is bad, but I'd much rather deal with that than this, and I wish I had found this forum prior to spending a decent amount of money on this junk."

For Vaginal Dryness "Cream comes out of the tube brown and smells very bad. Gone off. Paid $30 for the pack, yet half of the box items cannot be used due to the fluid that had gone off, brown, and had a very bad smell. Horrible."

For Vaginal Dryness "Avoid this stuff at all costs! I was looking for something to help with dryness and burning caused by perimenopause. I used this twice and had a lot of watery discharge at first. I had sex the following day, and afterwards I had brown discharge. I had to insert and remove 3 tampons in a row to pull this stuff out, adding to the discomfort. I then started to get greyish discharge with black specks, burning, and cystitis feelings. I feel right back to square 1 with my symptoms, which were improving with Vagifem. I’m terrified about what I’ve done to my insides!"

For Vaginal Dryness "My doctor recommended Replens, as I am suffering from severe vaginal dryness. I used my first applicator when I went to bed. Burning and itching immediately started, and it was so uncomfortable I did not sleep all night. In the morning, I had backache, nausea, and low-grade fever. I will not be using the product again."

For Vaginal Dryness "I’m in my late 20s, decided to use this product for more comfort during sex. I only used the product twice. It was the worst decision I could have made. Ever since, I’ve dealt with cramping, thick white discharge, vaginal irritation, and my period has not been the same. Complex cyst first on the left ovary and on my f/u visit, now on the right ovary. This product definitely seems to affect hormones as I had no issues before using it. I’m scared and praying that my body will go back to normal. I would not recommend this product."

For Vaginal Dryness "Same experience as the other reviewers. I almost had a heart attack after I wiped and saw lots of thick, rubbery white clumps with what looked like brown, dried blood mixed in. I also got slight cramping after applying each time. I only used this about once a week for two months, and the discharge happened after the second month - or maybe it got cleaned out when I had my period and I never noticed it. I'm going to be looking for another product, as this is not an acceptable option for me anymore!"

For Vaginal Dryness "I used this moisturizer because at times intercourse can be painful. It did help, however, I also experienced the white chunks and had to actually use a douche to flush it all out. The vagina was moisturized, but after intercourse with my partner, it looked like a yeast infection gone haywire. Would not recommend, Replens need to review their ingredients and the consistency."

For Vaginal Dryness "I’ve used Replens for several years and have had no problems except when the company started using the newer style applicator. It does not have a rounded end and was painful to use and caused bleeding. Fortunately, I had saved some of the old, round-end reusable applicators. I am having trouble finding the tube of Replens rather than the pre-filled applicators. I use about half of the recommended amount once or twice a week. Am 24 years past menopause."

For Vaginal Dryness "I’m new to menopause and used it for vaginal dryness for three days, ended up doubled in pain, couldn’t stand, sit, or walk, ended up seeing a GP because the pain was so bad. She said it was a bad reaction and signed me off work for a week so far."

For Vaginal Dryness "I have just come back from a smear test, and the nurse pulled out a lump of white discharge, which now may have interfered with getting a result. After reading all these other reviews, I think it is attributable to Replens, which I have been using for a few months. I will not be using it again, that’s for sure, but I’m glad I read these reviews, so I know the discharge is most probably due to this product. Like others, though, I wish I had read these before using it."

For Vaginal Dryness "I’ve tried before, didn’t connect the burning with the product until this time. After the third application, I felt a burn coming on, and over an hour or so got so intense I felt like I had to give birth to a ball of acid. It hurt to urinate like a severe UTI. I have chills and feel like my bladder is spasming. I know it’s not a UTI because I checked my urine. This stuff also, I think, mixes with the normal vaginal secretions and is causing the white clumps that feel like grit almost. I’m not sure if this is an allergic reaction or what, but I wouldn’t wish this burning UTI pain on my worst enemy. I’m not sure that using any vaginal gel, cream, etc., is healthy as I can see how it would cause a UTI or worse. What’s even worse, a NP told me to use it."

For Vaginal Dryness "I used this as a way to get rid of the iron smell after my period ended this latest cycle. I read it’s good for clearing odors away. So I used this stuff this morning, and what do I have 12 hours later… a ton of white-grey-brown chunky discharge. There’s no way I’m having sex tonight if this is what’s going on down there. This is gross, what did I do to myself?"

For Vaginal Dryness "I get intense burning from the usage of Replens and bad cramps. My cramps aren't uterine because I had a hysterectomy years ago, so I know these cramps are actually from the burning inside my vagina, which mimics period cramps. These symptoms aren't something someone would expect from a product that is supposed to be helpful. It doesn't work well for my vaginal dryness either. I'm throwing the rest of the box out, which makes me mad because it's way overpriced. I don't trust this product."

For Vaginal Dryness "Really unpleasant product that leaves chunks of white material inside of you. I had to manually remove them. I did not feel it moisturized, in fact, I felt the chalky deposits may have caused further dryness. I don't understand how this is on the shelves? Awful!"
