"I do not understand so many negative reviews here. It's like you're trying to run them out of business. I chose Replens over Revaree simply due to price. Why the woman doctor inventor charges so much for Revaree is beyond me. The very first night after inserting the Replens gel, I found relief that only a woman who's been through vaginal atrophy would know. It no longer felt like my insides were about to drop out. I'm so very happy I finally did something about this and found relief from Replens. Women leaving negative reviews: Did you read everything about Replens and how it works? Then why are you all so incredibly surprised and concerned about the discharge?! THAT MEANS IT'S WORKING. The mass panic you've brought through ignorance is keeping many women from tremendous relief. Educate before eradicate."

"OMG! Why did I not read these reviews first? Used this product to moisturize the Va-jay-jay and after intercourse, the chalky, yeasty-looking, rubbery substance is BEYOND embarrassing. I mistook it for a yeast infection and even took Diflucan and Monistat. I was so fed up, I went to the gynecologist who immediately knew exactly what it was. They need to pull it off the shelves."

"I was recommended by a gynecologist to use this product Replens. Second time using it, I feel dry, and clumps of white skin cells or whatever it is have been discharging. I want to know if this is safe or a good thing. Adding to my frustration!"

"I started using Replens as my gyno suggested for vaginal dryness/atrophy in March 2020. No negative reaction at first, with the exception of clear discharge. It is now June 2020, and I noticed I've been experiencing slight cramping like I'm going to get a period. I'm in my 60s and post-menopausal. Yesterday, I noticed a brownish discharge and still experiencing slight cramping. Will stop using Replens product immediately! I think further research and investigation into the product should be put in place, pronto. Too many women are having too many strange and unexplained reactions to this product. FDA should be alerted - NOW!"

"Severe vaginal dryness after menopause is horrible. The vaginal changes can mimic UTI. Replens is the only thing that has given me relief. I use it every 3 days at night. If I get dry in between, I apply a bit by hand. I would rather feel wet and messy than dry as the desert. I did have some brownish discharge once after the first use, but it went away. I recommend because I suffered horribly before I used it."

"After using Replens I experienced the white chunky discharge many people are complaining about. But after a few consistent uses I noticed that not only was the discharge turning a very dark brown, but I wasn’t coming out anymore! I had to manually get inside my vagina to pull out days of old, dark, chunky discharge. It had little to no smell to it, but was still very unpleasant to see. There’s no need in shedding dry vaginal tissue if the discharge is just going to stay inside the vagina! Never using it again."

"Used this twice to avoid estrogen cream and started bleeding after the second application, then copious brown sludge discharge, so far for two days. Don't know if the applicator does the damage or the ingredients, but needless to say it doesn't bode well for the product!"

"Helped me with labia minora dermatitis. I’m a female in my 20s and also suffer some vaginal dryness due to medications. This product helped so much in many ways. Seeing all the gross skin cells come out that my vagina wasn’t cleaning out by itself proves that it does a great job at helping the vagina if it’s not properly self-cleaning due to dryness or whatever else."

"Oh, how I had wished I had read the reviews here FIRST! I was diagnosed with vaginal atrophy, but the doctor recommended Replens. Tried the inserts first, all they did was swell me up with 0 lubrication. External gel - same swelling, but this time horrible burning and pain while urinating. It made me itch and burn like a yeast infection. Inside looked as bad as it felt. Decided to try the lubricant in the little packet that came with the inserts. It helped at first, but then - BAM! Soreness, itching, and painful urination with swollen labia internal AND external. On a whim, I took Benadryl, thinking this has GOT to be a bad allergic reaction. Benadryl took away the feeling of being on fire down there a little to save my sanity! I'll take dryness over this ANY day! Definitely need to report your reactions to the FDA!"

"AVOID. Severe uterine cramping after the second dosage (3 days after the first one) with big black lumps and brown blood a few hours later, which is now fresh red blood with big lumps in it. This has been going on for 2 days, I hope it will stop, or I'll be going to the doctor next. I am peri-menopausal and dry after ovulation, hence the recommended cream. I've never had any spotting or bleeding between periods, this is a reaction to the cream. What have they put in it to cause such a severe reaction?"

"First time user. I just got done inserting Replens and immediately experienced severe burning and redness. Three days later, after cornstarch sitz baths, I called my gynecologist, and she said I may be the 1% that is severely allergic to some ingredients in the gel. I am still burning, but it is severe when urinating. I now have red irritation on the insides of my labia. If you have any resolution to my pain, I would appreciate it."

"I had vaginal dryness, so I used this, as the information on the outside seemed ideal. It caused soreness and slight bleeding. Complete waste of time and money. Thank goodness for this forum, as I thought it was only me!"

"The thick white residue that some ladies talk about in the reviews is the dry skin that this product takes from the lining of your vagina. The more that you use it, the less comes away. You have to remove it. I have used it for years, and it is very messy. I use this ladies' Pjur med repair glide. FANTASTIC!"

"I’ve used Replens for a few years now, as was recommended by my gyn. It was a miracle treatment for vaginal dryness. I would get disgusting gray-green discharge that my gyn said was dead cells sloughing off. My current weekly treatments leave me itching and burning, which I blamed on too much citrus in my diet. I had switched from the disposable applicators to the reusable. My last dose was uncomfortable with that applicator. The next morning, I wiped a good amount of bright red blood, which I haven’t had in 20 years! I may have cut myself, but am also having low pelvic cramping that I now realize I had with previous applications. After reading other comments, I don’t think I have developed a sensitivity inasmuch as they made a change to this product."

"I have used Replens 3 times. I was crampy the first time. Felt like an oncoming UTI after the second insert. Then the white wet tissue discharge after the third time. Done... was not cheap, so a waste. Too many ladies seem to be having the same symptoms. Like others, wish I had read these reviews! Just don’t..."

"I just hope that someone is reporting these reviews to Replens. I've experienced everything from the chalky substance to a brownish discharge, which I believe to be a blood residue. It was a scary experience, as opposed to being helpful. Replens, go back to your lab and do something about this, please!!"

"I bought this product to try for my vaginal dryness. One hour after I used it, I started having a lot of gooey thick bloody discharge. I had a hysterectomy 15 years ago, and I am at the end of my menopause, so I am not sure why I have blood-stained underwear and this bloody gooey discharge."

"Be very wary when using this product. As per many of the ladies on this forum, I have experienced a really bad reaction to this medication and wish I had seen these reviews beforehand. I was diagnosed with severe vaginal atrophy in July, and the first round of HRT has not worked yet, nor estriol pessaries or cream from the Gyn. The GP recommended Replens. Total disaster - horrible burning and pain while urinating. Already had the start of a UTI, which compounded the situation. Inside looked as bad as it felt. Soreness, itching, and pain with swollen labia, internal AND external. I have also had the white clumpy residue. I wonder if that is related to the cramping. I will never use this again and will need to find out how to report these issues. If this product helps someone, then that’s great, but the majority of us are in worse shape from having tried this. If I could rate this 0 or a minus rating, I would. This product should be pulled from circulation."

"I've used Replens due to vaginal dryness related to menopause. It has helped with the dryness, but a while after use, I've experienced slight vaginal bleeding. Not sure why since I had a hysterectomy three years ago. I will not continue using."

"Works very well for me. Used only 3 times so far. I insert with the long plastic applicator, already set up, just squeeze the cream. I use Thursday morning or evening, lasts well. I use once a week, just so I can have comfortable weekend sex! So I use just once a week. I am experiencing an itchy clitoris, feels as if I have thrush. Is this common?"

"I used Replens for 2 months, and initially had no side effects from it, used it for postmenopausal vaginal dryness, recommended by my gyno. Last week, I started to feel like I was going to have a period start, after peeing, I wiped and saw clear discharge with a brown tinge to it. I have to say prior to this, for about 2 weeks, I was noticing a white type of discharge, no smell, consistency of wet toilet paper, which is what I thought it was at first. After reading these reviews and many others, I now know it was not that. I have mild cramping like that of a period and am still spotting. Currently, it does seem to be subsiding, at least I hope so. Stopped using about 5 days ago, and really, I should have stopped using it when the white stuff appeared. I knew it was the Replens that made all this happen. Would not recommend this stuff to anyone."

"So, first time buying Replens and first time using this. I too wished I had read reviews. Not even time for my period for two more weeks, and I’m cramping like a period is fixing to start. I had string-like discharge to now white, rubbery-like chunks and balls. Yuck! Bad decision. Product isn’t what I had expected at all. Won’t be using again. I tried washing everything out of me, but I’m still steadily cramping."

"Omg, I wished I had read the reviews on here! I’ve recently used Replens MD cream and didn’t think it was connected, but now after reading the reviews! The first time I used this, I contracted a kidney infection. Two weeks later, a uterus infection! I’m 54, post-menopausal, tried the cream for dryness, and all I got was bad abdominal cramping, a swollen abdomen, and bleeding! I’ve not bled for 8 years. These side effects need to be on the leaflet inside!"

"I tried this product, Replens, for vag dryness, trying to stay away from hormones. I used it before I went to bed, the next day I felt cramping, no bleeding or discharge yet. I now wish I saw these postings before I bought the product. I will not use it again."

"I am on my 3rd use of Replens, after going to the bathroom and wiping, there were white chunks. So, I got up close and personally with my magnifying mirror, and I was shocked at the amount of white globs all over the outside and especially the inside. Bleh! I am 53 and post-menopause. The 3rd use was tonight after my shower, and it does kinda still burn a little, but if it is shedding dead skin, is that a good thing? I'm still not sure if I want to continue using it or not."
