"I used this cream a long time ago and was very happy. It's pretty expensive, costs me about $150. My pharmacy was able to get me a voucher. I stopped using it because it was so expensive and started using other hair removal products. I'm fair-skinned, and the OTC products burned my face so bad. I eventually went back to the Vaniqa. A tube usually lasts me for 3 months, so I figured the cost was reasonable compared to other products I used. I have read some bad reviews, so I guess everyone is different. I start Vaniqa daily, but just once a day in the evening before bed. I apply pretty much on my entire lower face and neck area. I'm really hairy, and although they are blonde, it looks terrible. I love this product, it really works for me."

"Been suffering hirsutism since I was 17, coarse, dark hairs on my neck, chin, and up the sides of my face. It's got worse as the years have gone on. I'm now 25 and couldn't cope any longer. I kept this to myself and it drained the life out of me. I didn't go out, I suffered depression. I had to shave twice a day depending on what I had to do on that day. If I wasn't at work, I wouldn't shave and stayed at home because shaving every day was ruining my face with so many rashes. I finally got the courage to visit my GP, and she prescribed me this. I've been using this cream for 4 weeks, and I'm already seeing an improvement. Don't suffer, ladies, get Vaniqa!"

"I have suffered with strong facial hair on my neck and chin for 2 years. It was a nightmare. I would stand in a mirror plucking for 2 hours, which is not good when you have a school run to do. I have recently noticed my facial hair getting worse, and the more I plucked, the more rashes and ingrown hairs I was getting. It was ruining my life. I went to my local GP with an infection on my neck from plucking, and he prescribed me Vaniqa cream. I have to tell everyone who suffers like me, don't get the cream, it's amazing. I have been using it for 3 days (not long I know), but the difference in my skin and hair growth is amazing. I have smoother skin, and my bumps are nearly nonexistent."

"I have loads of hair on my chin, gone hard like a man's beard, but I've been using this cream for a few days, and WOW, I can't explain, skin feels so soft, so people get down to doctors and get it, best thing ever."

"I have been using this cream for almost a year, and it's completely changed my life. Prior to Vaniqa, I was shaving every day, which was very upsetting. I felt very embarrassed about everything in my life, from where I was going to what I was doing, I had to consider my embarrassing problem: would I be able to shave? It was the last thing I thought about at night and the first thing I thought about in the morning. Not anymore, now I shave maybe once a week. The growth has reduced by about 80%, so it's a very light shave. My self-esteem is fantastic. I don't have PCOS, my doctor said it was atypical (means no reason, I think). I'm in the UK, so I get this on script."

"I have had the problem of facial hair for around 7 years, waxing, laser, and plucking worked to an extent, but I was still always self-conscious as it would come back quickly. I knew there would be something out there to help me, so I got online and found reviews on this cream. I have been using it for around 4 weeks now, and the results are amazing. Hair regrowth has reduced amazingly, my skin feels smoother rather than stubbly, and my self-esteem when out (especially in bright places) has improved so much! I highly recommend this cream to anyone who suffers from facial hair and has it affect their self-esteem. It is expensive, but very worth it. My insurance paid for half of it."

"I have been using Vaniqa since 2010 for facial hair. I have never had to shave, but lots of plucking! It works wonderfully, and I have also had laser done to remove my darker hair on my lip, chin, and neck area. My complaint is the price. It has doubled in price since I started using it, and the manufacturer's coupon is only $35.00 (up from $25.00 originally). I thought when a medication was available in generic, the original would go down in price. I started ordering from Canada two years ago, and now their price for the name brand has gone up enough that I am now ordering the generic. Unlike in Europe, in the US, it is considered cosmetic, and insurance will not cover. Does anyone know of any other discounts in the US?"

"I've had facial hair since I was a teenager in 2007. I was told I have polycystic ovarian syndrome. I tried everything to get rid of the hair and did not want to go out. I've only been using the cream a few days, and I have seen a small improvement, only time will tell."

"I have been using Vaniqa for just over a week, and I can already see a massive improvement. I have very dark facial hair, which I have to pluck daily and always had a dark shadow. I am so pleased to say that so far, so good, the shadow is disappearing, and the hair that's growing back is finer and nowhere near as dark! Hirsutism is the most embarrassing thing ever. I went to my doctor in the UK and was told I was not eligible for this cream on an NHS prescription, so my doctor wrote me a private one. When I went to the chemist, I was quoted over."

"I'm writing a second review on Vaniqa. I started using this in February this year. Twice a day, although some days/times I do forget. I just want to say how delighted I am to have found this. It has totally and completely changed my life! I had terrible male pattern hair growth all over my cheeks, chin, upper and lower lip and starting to grow down my neck. I used to pluck for up to 2 hrs at a time every 3rd day but was never hair free. I wouldn't kiss anyone hello or goodbye as even plucked the stubble could be felt under my skin. 3 months on I'm not scared of being caught in bright sunlight. I pluck around once a fortnight and it takes around 10 mins. The hairs that are coming through are soft and downy. My life is transformed."

"I have always had facial hair but after my menopause started prematurely, the hair growth became very much like a man's. I would pluck at least 2 times a week, and each session would last 2 hrs. I started using Vaniqa 2 weeks ago. I plucked the whole face the same day, and 2 weeks later, I have only just needed plucking a few small areas today, which is the first time, and even those hairs are fairly soft and finer. I love Vaniqa and feel like it's changed my life!"

"I have had excess facial hair since I was 17. I was tweezing at least every other day before I discovered Vaniqa. I have been using Vaniqa for about 6 weeks and have noticed a big difference in the amount of facial hair that has grown back. I am now tweezing only a couple of times a week. This cream is pricey, but is well worth it! I wish I had discovered it years ago!"

"I'm in the UK and get this on prescription - just have to pay the usual £7.45 each time I get it, which is approximately once per month. I think it is brilliant. In the past couple of years, I seemed to have a lot more peach fuzz and some coarser hair on my neck. This has slowed growth down to the point where it has almost stopped, and I only occasionally have to pluck the odd hair rather than spend an hour every evening. It has given me my life back."

"I have PCOS so I've been unfortunate enough to have the ugly facial hair situation. Mostly on my chin, and it's really coarse hair. My doctor put me on Vaniqa, and I have to say, after all these years of struggling with facial hair removers, waxes, creams, this is the best by far. I've only been on it probably around 2-3 weeks and I saw an immediate difference. Even without using a facial hair remover, it's cleared up my skin, the hair doesn't come back as quickly and it's really made a huge difference. Granted it is expensive. Hope this helps!"

"I have been using Vaniqa for 2 years now. I love it. It is a bit pricey but well worth every penny. I apply it twice a day, morning and night. Continue shaving, plucking, or whatever you do, but you will notice you will be doing it much less now. I don't know what I would do without this product. Good luck!"

"I have had hair problems all my life using many different hair removal techniques. None gave a real good outcome and I still didn't like being out in the sun wondering if people were staring at all the facial hair. I apply at night and in the morning. I tried doing once a day, but started getting some hair growth. I now have absolutely not one hair on my face. I have been using for about a year. TIP: Use a damp washcloth on face first so cream will spread more easily and will give more applications per tube."

"Works great for me. Only apply once per day because it is expensive and not covered by insurance. I am very light-skinned with light hair, but a few patches of ugly dark facial hair - chin, neck, etc. Need to pluck a few every now and then, but for the most part a huge difference. Maybe my imagination, but also notice my skin is tighter. I'll like it."

"OK, so after 25 plus years of daily plucking and twice-a-day shaving of neck and chin, and then random cheek and lip dark hairs (amount of hair increasing and growing in strength daily), I started Vaniqa on Tuesday morning (and applied again in the evening). Wednesday morning, I felt a difference."

"I have suffered from hirsutism for years. I recently started on Vaniqa 4 weeks ago and notice a huge difference around my chin and upper lip. But I have started developing acne as a side effect, or is this folliculitis? Has anyone experienced this? And have any suggestions to help with the acne (folliculitis)? Thank you!"

"I had to share my experience as this has changed my life. If you’re reading this, you will feel like I feel about your facial hair. Since the birth of my first child, I’ve developed black, thick, coarse, wiry hair under the chin to my neck and my chin, especially both sides. The older I’m getting (43), the worse it’s getting. I used to wax, but I then had to pluck every morning before work, when I came home, and before I went to bed. For some reason, this hair grew like the clappers, and I just had terrible moods and lack of confidence due to this. I’ve actually loved wearing a face mask due to the pandemic as it hides my facial hair, but knowing we’re coming away from this, I finally did something about it. I paid £68 and saw a difference in one week!! The hair slowed down so much I couldn’t believe it. I’m in week 3 now and I’m still in the habit of getting a mirror and plucking, but some days there’s nothing to pluck! I’d say I’m already 50% down on hair regrowth."

"I am 44 and pale-skinned. I’ve been a slave to my facial hair for well over 25 years. Shaving, plucking, hair removers (that never work). My hair has caused me depression, embarrassment, and paranoia. I never wear my hair up, as my hair is my facial curtain. I’m constantly fixing my hair to cover my jawline, cheeks, and neck. I stumbled across this cream by accident and have been using it religiously for 7 weeks now. I almost gave up at 6 weeks because I didn’t notice any difference. I was still plucking for hours and shaving daily. When I wake up in the morning, my stubble would be there thick, strong, dark, and very noticeable. A few days ago, I noticed my face actually felt a bit smoother. Today is day 3 since I last shaved, and only now am I beginning to feel a few hairs coming through. My face looks smoother with no dark patches from shaving daily. There’s no way I could ever have gone 1 day without shaving and plucking (for hours at night). Loving life right now."

"I have not bought this due to being really expensive. I was lucky enough and asked my sister if she could get it for me in Germany. Her doctor gave her the prescription and bought it for only $9. I will be receiving it in a week and can’t wait to start using it."

"My last BF told me I look good in a certain light. And he was right. Had white hair all over my face, peach fuzz, strong hair on my chin and upper lips. A stubble and I thread. Not anymore! It feels great."

"Changed my life. I had hair all over my chin (almost 100). I started seeing results in almost 2 weeks. Now I pluck 5-10 in a week or so. I had marks all over my chin because of continuous plucking, and my skin has greatly improved. I only gave it a 9 instead of 10 because of the cost and lack of availability. I don't mind paying for the cream because of its benefits, but it is hardly available. I live in Melbourne, and they don't supply to Aussie anymore. So I get compounded from a pharmacist who charges me 2x, which is very expensive. As I am using it only for my chin, the cream lasts me close to 2 months. Worth every penny though. Brought back my self-confidence. FYI, I spent a lot on laser with no results other than increased hair growth."

"I have suffered with coarse chin and upper lip hair for such a long time, causing me to feel embarrassed and just not good about myself. I would pluck on a daily basis, making my skin blotchy and sore. I took the plunge after months of research on Vaniqa and bought the cream. I've been using it twice a day for 6 weeks now and I'm thrilled with the results. Smooth skin, hardly any hairs. So pleased. Ladies, don't suffer like I did, get this product. It's the best ever."
