For Eye Redness "These eye drops do whiten your eyes like crazy. But they make your eyes feel like they are getting squeezed. The instructions say you can use them 10 minutes prior to inserting contacts. They actually eat away at contacts. While using these eye drops, I ruined one box of each eye of contacts. While using these eye drops, I started having burst eye blood vessels (subconjunctival hemorrhage). They also cause major irritation, puffy eyelids, and itchy skin around my eyes. I now have conjunctival chemosis and subconjunctival hemorrhage several months after I quit using Lumify eye drops. I recently did research and found several very bad and concerning reviews of very bad reactions. Beware and do research first before inserting this banned substance in Europe into your eyes."

For Eye Redness "After watching some YouTube video, I tried Lumify yesterday, the redness in my eyes went away right away, but this morning I woke up with a light headache. The discomfort in my eyes is more noticeable than anything else. I also felt sleepy the whole day. I have good eye health, no underlying conditions. Just curious if Lumify is really safe to use, this is why I am here."

For Eye Redness "The first time I used Lumify, my eyes whitened up nicely. Because of the cost, I don't use these daily. The next time I used them, my eyes did whiten, but the next day I woke up with bloodshot, crusty eyes. It's been 5 days, and my eyes are still a mess! I am scared to death to use these again. I will have to make an appointment at an eye doctor if this does not clear up in another day or two. Beware of this product."

For Eye Redness "I received this product as a member of Allure Beauty Box and really liked how quickly it worked and how white it made my eyes look, but after using it twice, I developed a significant subconjunctival hemorrhage (broken blood vessel in the eye) in one eye after rubbing it. Too bad I didn’t have this look for Halloween because it could have been my costume!"

For Eye Redness "Bought this after seeing an ad online. I like clearly white eyes. I used this later in the evening, saw no results, had burning and watering eyes. Then I had eye pain! When I got up in the morning, there was a crust around my eyes. Tried it again, thinking my eyes just had to adjust, and the same thing happened! Frankly, I do not know how the FDA could have approved this."

For Eye Redness "Although Lumify brightened the whites of my eyes, the effects I suffered were not worth it. I experienced 12 or more of the side effects listed: blurry vision, tearing, and eye pain for four or more days. Using an eye gel did provide some relief. I stopped using Lumify and returned the product to the store."

For Eye Redness "My optometrist recommended this product when it first came out because I’ve always battled red, irritated eyes. Used it for many months, but last fall, I woke up with a subconjunctival hemorrhage in my right eye. Horrendous — the entire eye was bloody. I did not think it was from Lumify since my doctor recommended it. Then I developed another subconjunctival hemorrhage in the same eye in February and again in April and May. It was so bad that I called out of work because I was embarrassed to be seen. The ophthalmologist told me to stop wearing my contacts and to use eye lubricant multiple times daily. A month later, I developed yet another subconjunctival hemorrhage. My ophthalmologist sent me to my PCP to get blood work to rule out blood clotting disorders and cancer. At the same time, I stopped using Lumify because I read a few reviews here and saw people had gotten subconjunctival hemorrhages. My blood work was perfect. I haven’t had an eye hemorrhage since stopping Lumify. DON’T USE LUMIFY!"

For Eye Redness "I used Lumify for one week, and on Sunday I noticed my eye was bloodshot red and very painful, especially when bright lights and air hit it. It is now Tuesday, and my eye is still bloodshot red, but the pain is decreasing. The crazy part is that this only happened to one of my eyes. I don’t recommend this product to anyone, please remove it from the shelf. Thanks."

For Eye Redness "After using Lumify for 1-2 months for red eyes due to allergies-just one drop per day, I experienced a subconjunctival hemorrhage, which is a frightening-looking broken blood vessel in your eye. I also had several headaches and took Advil-but did not attribute it to the drops until I read some of the posts. I threw the Lumify away, never to use again."

For Eye Redness "I had used Lumify drops for the last 8 months. Initially, I was blown away by the ability to make the white of my eye so clear. Within a few weeks, I noticed that I needed to use it more frequently to achieve the same results. On the days I didn’t use it, my eyes appeared red more often and even felt scratchy at times. My biggest concern is that 2 days ago, I woke up with a large amount of blood vessels burst (a subconjunctival hemorrhage) in my right eye. I’ve never had this before, do not have high blood pressure, and didn’t have any of the other issues associated with this condition. I am reading the reviews and notice I am not the only one. I will not be using this product anymore and have serious concerns about the long-term use of it."

For Eye Redness "This was recommended by my eye doctor. I used Lumify, only one drop, maybe once a week to go out. Yesterday, I applied one drop to each eye to go out. About an hour later, I noticed a subconjunctival hemorrhage in the outer corner of my right eye. This morning, my entire eye is bright red. I looked up the side effects, and this was listed as an infrequent side effect. I have no other risk factors: I didn't cough, sneeze, vomit, strain, rub, no foreign object, no hypertension, no diabetes, and take nothing that causes bleeding or bruising. This should be taken off the market."

"I have used Lumify once a day for a few weeks. My eyes were always cleared up by it within minutes. On Wednesday of this week, I used Lumify in the morning and noticed that there was a spot that was still bloodshot. By early afternoon, I had developed a subconjunctival hemorrhage in my eye. I went to the eye doctor the very next day as the blood is pooling between the layers on my eye, causing a bump along the bottom of my eye, and my eyelid pulls on it when I move my eye. It is now Saturday, and the hemorrhage still appears to be bleeding. Initially, my eye was only half red. Now my entire eye is red with blood pooling under my bottom eyelid again. Hopefully, this will heal on its own."

For Eye Redness "I was lured by the commercials on television to try the product despite the high price. I figured I’d buy one of the smaller bottles, though they all seem to come in the same size, just more or less filled. I was pretty pleased to see good results for the first month or so, so I splurged and bought a double pack to save some money overall. Before opening up a bottle from the double pack, which I had already removed from the packaging, I woke up with a subconjunctival hemorrhage in my left eye and an enlarged red vein in my right eye. Needless to say, I’ll have to bite the bullet on the $30 double pack since I’ll no longer be using this product. Very disappointed. Have always had good luck with B&L products till now. I guess if it’s too good to be true, it is."

For Eye Redness "After using Lumify for a few days, just one drop per day, I woke up with severe subconjunctival hemorrhage (broken blood vessels) in one eye. I went to the ophthalmologist for a check, and he found nothing wrong except for the broken capillaries. I told him I had been using Lumify, but he hadn't heard of that side effect. It cleared up in about 3 weeks, during which I didn't use any eye drops except lubricating ones (TheraTears). I then tried Lumify again, and after about 3 days the subconjunctival hemorrhage came back, in exactly the same pattern. I've never had this before, so I have to believe that Lumify caused this, particularly with other reports of this happening. I certainly won't be using it again."
