For Macular Degeneration "One year ago, had wet AMD in left eye experiencing wavy lines plus a gray spot in center vision. Couldn't read the eye chart on first visit. The morning after my first shot of Avastin, the gray spot was gone and hasn't reappeared. After shots every 4 to 7 weeks the rest of the year, my vision is somewhat blurry and the wavy lines aren't as prominent as a year ago. Have never had any pain, discomfort, or bloodshot eye after shots. Only once had burning in eye because doctor didn't rinse sufficiently. When I got home, I used an eye wash which relieved it. Had a friend drive me for the first shot because I didn't know what to expect and since then drive myself to and from doctor's office even at 83 years old."
