Well known issue for rivaroxaban and also for similar drugs. Same fatigue problems for me with Xarelto after PE (60 yo, 30 mg/day, day 22). Hard to work and often I have to stop and rest. No real help from the hematologist ("stress", "try Vitamins").
I read some research articles about fatigue and rivaroxaban, but no solution was proposed. An article from Norway reports no improvement of fatigue symptoms after months of Rivaroxaban (it's not a temporary effect). Now entering the second phase of therapy with a lower dose of Xarelto and hope it will go better. Anyone else with the same problems?
I too have normal labs, no bleeding issues and am on 10 mg of Xarelto, having been switched from 20 mg. of Elliquis. I had extreme chills and fatigue on Elliquis. I am now experiencing the same thing on Xarelto. My heme guy says it can't be the Xarelto, but nothing else has changed.
Hi, i've just run through the list of potential side effects, and of those listed the following could explain your symptoms... general feeling of tiredness or weakness, unusual tiredness or weakness, and more appropriately... Psychiatric: Common (1% to 10%): Anxiety reaction, sleep disorders. You should discuss this with your doctor and he/she will make a decision about how best to treat this
This is my second rodeo with Xarelto. Now I'm on it for life. I do feel fatique some days. And on the best days, it doesn't take much before I feel like I need to rest a bit.
I take my Xarelto at bedtime. If you are takin it at bedtime, speak to your doctor about maybe taking it earlier in the day. If your labs are good, your anxiety may be coming from even having to deal with clots at all.
Whenever I have side effect questions, I either call the pharmacist or drugs.com is a good site to check out.
Hope you feel better.
