I have been feeling a bit down and I found that Seroquel added to Lexapro can help with anxiety and depression. But I also take alprazolam at night to get off to sleep. Will taking the two together dangerous?

Using ALPRAZolam together with QUEtiapine may increase side effects such as dizziness, drowsiness, confusion, and difficulty concentrating. Also avoid activities requiring mental alertness such as driving or operating hazardous machinery until you know how the medications affect you. Robert; My friend Masso has already given you the interaction part, I would like to add many people do take these together and because it's at bedtime If you want to lessen the side effect part it helps to keep a little time apart Like take the Xanax 1/2 to 45 minutes before you go to bed, then take the Seroquel right as your going to lay down. And by the way, many of these side effects are not as severe with continued use. good luck. Chuck1957
