I have take one three hours ago I feel like I have just take 10 cups of coffee
cant sleep feel like I could run a mile or do housework this is not what my doctor told me was going to happen should I call my doctor or will this go away over time
My ent is not sure if I have alleries as well as a deviated septum
I have been having a lot of trouble with my sinus lot of pain but this is like take speed why is this so
Why should I take Zyrtec at night?

Well zyrtec is just to control your allergies it should have nothing to do with your sleeping habits. However if you drink a coke or a cup of joe in the morning or anytime during the day while you are on this med can cause a side effect to the zyrtec causing you to stay awake. I do have a aunt that is on zyrtec and it does not make her sleepy. Benadryl on the otherhand can taken with caffine or not cause sleepiness. Hope this helped michelle.

this was not about sleep but what he thinks could be allergies
I am in no way sleeply this was my first time I have every take one and
I am still up and wide awake I have been doing housework till 4am
and my nose is still all blocked - I feel like zyrtec is more like being on the coffee all night which I only take once in awhile maybe two or three times a month but thank you for your help

Zyrtec perhaps was recommended by your doc to be taken in the night as it causes drowsiness to around 13-14% people taking this med, it could also cause in about 5-6% people who take Fatigue as its side effects.
Would recommend to seek an alternate form the doc who recommended Zyrtec so that you are not fatigued & get relief, hope this helps?

no fatigued the oppose am so awake its awful feel like I am high on something doing housework - wish I knew when I start to come down and my nose is dripping like I need to get the plumber
