my doctor now wants me to restart amitripyline 25mg one at nights. i don't want to restart. i am wondering if melatonin( spelling may not be correct ) is better for me.
I am not a Doctor, obviously, however, I had a similar issue and was prescribed .50 mg alprozolam and I sleep like a baby and wake up with out a hang over. As long as you don't abuse the medication, I assure to you it will have a positive affect in many cases.
Hello flowergirl. I would ask your doctor to put you on another benzodiazepine, but from the sleep family. Either Dalmane or Halcion, will give you a deep, restfull sleep. Diazepam, although also a benzodiazepine, was created for anxiety disorders. Best of wishes along with good health to you, pledge
