I agree with masso's comments. It's tough but I wouldn't give up on your medication until you give it a fair trial.
You're on the "roller coaster" which happens commonly and means that your metabolism is still adjusting but your good and bad days also mean that the medication is starting to work.
Talk it over with your doctor and let them know about the level of your anxiety. There are remedies for that but it may be a matter of a little more essence of time.

You are correct it takes 6 to 8 weeks to reach the full therapeutic effect of this SSNRIs (drug class).
