... in an auto accident. He picked it up at the drive through window and when he got back to my house I thought the bottle looked too small for 100 "caplet" pills. We counted them and there were 80 pills, but the bottle was filled to the brim. It was checked off twice and initialed by the same person. The pharmacist would not make this right and refused to fill the extra 20 pills. Now when I have to get certain Rx filled I ask for the pills to be counted in front of me before I take them. Can a pharmacist refuse to count pills in front of me after I request it? This happened recently at Walmart pharmacy

Are you sure that the prescription was for 100 pills? Call the doctor and ask him to check how many pills he wrote the prescription for. The pharmacist can get in a lot of trouble if he under-filled the script. If the doctor did in fact write the prescription for 100 pills then you need to let the doctor know and have him call the pharmacist. Then go from there.
