Does RhoGAM have long term effects on your immune system?

OMG! I could not register to comment quick enough! I question everything now. I also have Hashimoto's, Thyroid problems and joint swelling constant inflammatory issues as well as lymph node swelling itching in my face. All of this started after my last child and last Rhogam shot of which I have had 4 of in my lifetime. As I was researching some other things I came across Rhogam and wondered if it had anything to do with my issues, that is when I found this site.

I was just wondering this myself. I’ve had 2 pregnancies both with the standard 2 rhogam shots. 8 mos after my youngest was born I was diagnosed with RA. 14 yrs later she has been diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease. Why is nobody researching this with so much anecdotal evidence from we moms?

Oh my god, I can't believe this! I thought it was just me, until I found this article now. Since I've given birth to my little girl and have been given 2 shots of anti d, I feel like a completely different person and not in a good way at all! I've noticed the symptoms as soon as I gave birth. I get ill more often (used to be ill once a year before pregnancy), got eye vision problems, chest pains, shortness of breath, swollen ankles and sooo many other symptoms I have read above. This is unbelievable and made me want to get checked immediately! I really feel like an old woman, even though I'm only 20!

I would very much like to know what this antifungal probiotic is, I have suffered for 38 years with an autoimmune issue that countless doctors have misdiagnosed. All of my problems started after the birth of my first child, I'm RH- and he is RH+ and the blood mixed. I have also been told I have very high levels of mercury and lead in my blood with no answers as to how it got there. Already had all of my fillings replaced with porcelain thinking that's where it came from. My gut keeps telling me ALL of my health issues go back to my first pregnancy and the shot!

I have recently been thinking about this. I have developed allergies and health issues since my kids were born. I had reacted to the Hep B shot given in high school (1996 + 1997) well forced upon me. I ended up with chronic fatigue syndrome, insomnia hypoglycemia, and borderline anorexic because I couldn't eat without feeling sick. I asked many questions and was assured it was fine no toxic crap. I found out 2 days ago there is and now I am connecting the dots. I am very upset our son also has multiple allergies and was on chemo for a rare immune disorder 5 years ago. Both boys are positive. He is ok now. My kids are not vaccinated ever. My kids are 11.5 and almost 8. I know stress has been a major factor but I am not tolerating much and my friend wants me to get tested for autoimmune disorders. I have done some cleanses on and off for past 10 years which i think have helped. But its frustrating to think this all started when i had my kids from the shots they made us get.

I was healthy prior to my only RhoGAM shot, in 2005, which was administered during my first pregnancy.
While I was still pregnant I began have symptoms of oddly shaped stool with blood on it. My OB said it was probably just internal hemorrhoids.
By the time my son (who is rh -) was a few months old I was having severe IBS type symptoms and still bleeding.
Several months later I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis (which is considered an autoimmune disease) and I have suffered from it ever since.
I absolutely believe my UC was caused or triggered by the RhoGAM shot and I regret it daily.

I received my first shot of RhoGam in 1970 after the birth of our first daughter, second in 1973, and last shot 1978. Our second daughter born in 1973 developed a gamma gobulin immune problem, asthma, various lung and breathing problems, rash from not tolerating certain foods or contact with certain trees, grasses, leaves, in other words her whole immune system was compromised. When asked if RhoGam could have caused this reaction I was given the answer that there was no data to support it. So she was on a regimen of shots until she was 6 yrs old. Today that daughter struggles with very low iron, and still catches every germ she comes in contact with. I have developed several autoimmune problems, celiac being the most prominent. Where is the research to see what has happened to those early mothers and babies born after Rhogam was administered? And the safety of this drug now?

I am interested in the immune effects on offspring. Young Daughter developed GBS which is autoimmune. Females are more prone to these and must guard health. Cannot ever have a flu shot. Also has hyperhidrosis which is an apparent side effect. Wonder if the risks outweighed any benefits and if there have been legal challenges.

I also have an autoimmune disease & have to take thyroid meds since getting the rhogam shot! Ugh. Its been a nightmare.

I believe this rhogam shot had a drastic affect on my health. Autoimmune issues started after receiving Rhogam shots. My daughter also had a severe autoimmune reaction and almost died in 2013. Her immune system went haywire and there were no explanations as to why. She had to be at a children’s hospital for nearly 6 months and on chemo to suppress her immune system for over two years. She is still not cured. Why haven’t there been any long term studies on this toxic shot that I was told was absolutely mandatory 22 years ago when I was pregnant?? I really think if men were affected, there would be long term studies on this.

Rhogam is quite toxic as they have not removed all the mercury from it even though they claim it has been removed. (This has been confirmed in testing by Health Advocacy in the Public’s Interest (HAPI) ) They also added aluminum which dramatically increases the toxicity of mercury. Do some more research. Rhogam is very toxic. I have had severe health issues ever since getting a shot several years ago. That prompted me to do a lot of research. Rhogam can actually cause the illness it’s designed to prevent. They lead you to believe it’s absolutuly necessary for your babies survival but that is a lie. Best wishes.
