Hi, Twins!
It does sound as if you have a situational anxiety that's also causing some depression. The two often go hand in hand.
Fluoxetine is an excellent choice of medications for both but it won't work for you overnight. Most people will start to feel improvements within the first two weeks or so but it may take 4-8 weeks before the medication becomes fully effective.
I think you should consider using it... it will probably help you a lot.
Best regards and I hope you feel better quickly.
Did a doctor recommended Prozac? And yes Prozac is effective when treating both anxiety/depression symptoms. But you need to give it “time” to work. You won’t get the benefits overnight. Some users experience improvements within 2 weeks. This indicates that the medication is working. But It can take up to 6-8 weeks for the full effects.
Common side effects(side effects are mild and usually subside within a few days to a week)
