Hello everyone I have read amazing posts about prozac Im on fluoxetine , had increased the dosage two weeks ago after a blip and upon request of my psychiatrist, please can people who increased to 40mg tell me it's success and it's worth it? I am very down and more depressed than ever, I can't take it anymore, I need you to boost me up. If it normal that depression gets at its highest before feeling better? And will I feel lot better? Because I already felt amazing on 20mg I cant take depression anymore been 2 weeks of hell! Thanks for answering me

Hello, I'm also on fluoxetine started on 20mg for 3months then my dr. put me on 40mg & thats what i'm still on & doing fine. I didn't have any problems when I went from 20mg to 40mg. But everyone is different I would give it a few more weeks. But if you can't handle it talk to your dr. maybe you need a different med.
Hope everything work out for you.
Thanks alot I think I'm getting better... fingers crossed...
I have been taking fluexotine 20mg for years... Due to severe anxiety lately I just got pushed up to 40 mg... Will this be safe?
I have been on fluoxetine 20 mg for 14 years, lately I have been anxious, stressed and feeling unbalanced so i decided to increase the dose as my physician suggested a few years ago but i did not feel I needed it at the time. This past week has been like hell, all my first symptoms came back, its like it started over again, I don't know how long it will take me but i know fluoxetine has kept my life normal for years and I hope it will do it again.
Hi, I was on Prozac 40mg for 2 years the then my stress level increased recently while trying to buy a house and my anxiety and panic attacks are breaking through almost back to where I started. My Dr increased my dose to Prozac 60mg 2 days ago. I love Prozac it has made me
Feel like Im "normal" again happy and just over all great.
Im hoping this increase is what I need. Day 2 and I feel a little more sleepy but I think I remember this being one of the side effects from when I firsted started that eased up after a couple weeks.
I guess Im hoping someone can shed some light whos done the increase and its helped them. Thanks in advance☺️
I was on 40 mg of Prozac a day at one point. And it did help, it took about two weeks for me to feel better. However everyone is different. And medication does not work the same in everybody. Because our bodies are different. However after awhile at that dose I became very hyper. My new Psychiatrist cut back on it slowly until I was on a much lower dose, now the doctor has me completely off of it. But my case I have Aspergers and truthfully I should not have been on any psych drug. But, my main concern for you is your desperation, like I said everyone is different and reacts different. My advice to you is to call your doctor and talk about how you feel and your concerns. I hope that was helpful for you.
Thanks a lot Sharon that was very helpful, I hope I feel better soon, it's been already two weeks, and Im still feeling extremely tired and sick-like!! Depression is tiring me!! I want my old self again, I was doing great 1 months ago, this blip destructed me.. HAppy New YEar to you SHaron
