Is 20mg fluoxetine a good dosage for OCD? Does it help to stay with the 20mg dose over a period of time? Would like to hear from some one that has been on 20 mg for OCD.

Hi there I'm on 40mg now for 7 weeks I've been pretty great so far up until 4 days ago where the unwanted thoughts have stared coming back. I'm definitely not as anxious as what I was but I was doing so great . I'm also wondering if a higher dose is needed although my doctor said he would rather not. I've also read that 60 is more likely to treat ocd intrusive thoughts. Can any one also help us out?? Is it a time thing, not enough or to much??

My psychiatrist always tells me that it takes higher doses for ocd. But try 20 to see if that will be effective first.
