I’m on 25 mg metoprolol succinate. I’m curious if this med can cause or aggravate fluid retention in the legs/feet?
Also, does this drug make you more sensitive to the sun? I’m very fair skinned.

Peripheral edema is considered a common side effect which affects 1% to 10% of people using this medication.
Regarding photosensitivity, I was unable to find it listed as a potential side effect. I found Visual disturbance which is a rare side effect affecting less than 0.1%.
I suggest you inform your Dr. as soon as you are able to and treat the Peripheral edema.
I took a medication, Lyrica (Pregabalin) which caused Peripheral edema and was treated by a
Nephrologist, do not leave it untreated.
