My 14 year old daughter has recently been prescribed this medicine but she cannot swallow the pills. I´ve tried everything I can think of to help her get them down. Any suggestions?
Can Metformin 1000mg be dissolved in water or other liquid in order to be taken easier?

Agree with KM, if so it's best to crush and take in apple sauce. However, could that dose be divided into 500 mg twice daily or 250 mg four times daily? I'd speak with her doctor if she's struggling and see if doses throughout the day are an option. Best!
As long as its not the extended release form you can do that.
