I take 1000mg of metformin 2 times a day I accidently took both this morning should I be concerned?

That is a huge dose of immediate release metformin to be taken at once. Although metformin doesn't normally cause hypoglycemia I would be cautious and perhaps monitor your blood sugar during the day.
