I’ve been on this medication for 1 month. It has worked on my anxiety pretty well. OCD thoughts have reduced only a bit. I’m on 75mg. Does this mean I need to increase my dosage to see better results on the OCD?
How long does it take clomipramine/Anafranil to work?

Answers
Hi, genesis!
It can take anywhere from 4-8 weeks to become fully effective although most people begin to see improvement in the first couple of weeks. These improvements indicate that the medication is beginning to work.
75mg is a relatively low dose. You should talk to your doctor about an increase because OCD is sometimes more difficult to treat. The maximum dose of Anafranil is 250mg so you have plenty of wiggle room.
