Does anyone know the comparative doses? I used to take .5mg of clonazepam in the day and 1mg at night, and I have been prescribed 15mg of oxazepam twice in the day and 30mg at night. Anyone else been through this change or know the differences? I am a healthy non-smoker, 19. I am an epileptic, but have only had 3 small seizures in recent years.
I have been switched from Clonazepam to Oxazepam. What are the differences between the two benzos?

Hey multifacet,
The comparative doses of clonazepam to oxazepam is .25 mg clonazepam to 15 mg oxazepam. So it sounds like the doses you mentioned are comparable.
The clonazepam is intermediate in onset time while the oxazepam is slow in onset time. The clonazepam stays in the body longer than the oxazepam.
The following website has a nice chart showing the above data:

Hope this helps,
Laurie
Thanks! The chart helps a lot. I always want to know what I'm putting in my body.
You are welcome!!
