I took the urine test and have a script for percocet but also take Oxycontin that i do not have a script for... can they tell the difference?
I had to take a urine drug test a SAP 10-20, will it tell the difference between oxycontin & perc's?

Hey keithowens,
First let me say, I think you'll be alright as perc's and xycontin contain the same basic narcotic, oxycodone which is an opiate. The SAP 10-20 tests for the following categories of drugs: amphetamines, barbiturates, benzodiazepines (Valium), cocaine, cannabis, methadone, methaqualone (Quaaludes), opiates, phencyclidine (PCP), and propoxyphene (Darvon).
You will test poisitive for opiates but they will not be able to tell which ones nor how much other than testing positive for at least the 20 cutoff. I couldn't find info about the exact test, the SAP 10-20, for you but I did find the following:

Hope this helps,

THANKS FOR your responsethere were also these numbers after sap 10-20 (DP+MDA(A3)T... Know what these added numbers and letters imply?
Sorry have not a clue what those letters and numbers stand for.
Laurie, I was wondering if you are a doctor or involved in a drug testing facility? It sounds like you have experience on drug testing or do a lot of Internet research? Just wondering and wish you well to whatever brings you to this site. I am new so do not know how to look up people but will work on it. As to you Keithowens, good luck to you and please be careful if the Oxycontin is not prescribed. Taking Percocet and Oxycontin can be dangerous as we all know and no, I am not a doctor, just someone that has had to be on pain killers since 2000 due to degenerative disc disease and multiple fusions. Just please be careful and again, bless you! I am only replying because I care! :-)
Hey fishgal,
