I was just given tramadol by my doctor for some pain. Has anyone taken this and if so did you find it gave you the same relief as Percocet or Vicodin? I was also confused as to why I wasn't given one of those instead of the tramadol, which I have never heard of before. Thanks
How strong is tramadol 50mg for pain compared to Percocet or Vicodin?

Taking 60 tramadaol in three days what can it do to you?
Give you a ridiculous habit which after 6 months I guess you have worked it out for yourself.
I was diagnosed with Lupus in Oct 2015. My PCP had prescribed me Tramadol 50mg every 6 hrs AS NEEDED FOR PAIN because regular ibuprofen, Motrin or Tylenol didn't work for me. I only take my Tramadol if the pain is bad and accompanied by stiffness in my muscles and joints. It's helped me pretty good. Only drawback is I can't take it at work because it's an opioid. My new PCP specifically told me not to take it while I'm at work.
Please re-read the tramadol drug description. Tramadol is an opioid-like pain reliever. It work on similar parts of the brain, like an opioid, that's why people are having similar withdrawals from it. Every medication has it's place, and it may work better for one person, but not another. Visit this website link: https://www.drugs.com/tramadol.html The very first line reads,"Tramadol is a narcotic-like pain reliever." Be careful with it and talk to your doctor about concerns. The first few days, that I took it, it was very hard for me to take deep breaths, and got winded quickly. It's passed for the most part, after a couple of days, but it concerns me, and I wonder about my long term health, with taking this drug.
This is my first time taking them tonight cause im in such pain with my shoulder. It feels like my muscle in my arm has fallen or something.
Hello, I would be be happy to inform you that I too was switched from oxycodone to tramadol 50mg and my veterans affairs pain Clinic doctors told me the same crap you were told. I was on tramadol since October till now March 2017 and I got zero relief. SO now I decided to pay out of pocket to see a new pain Clinic here in Kern Co. And I got oxycodone back and my low back pain is subsiding and feelin' better now in just less than 24 hours. Wish you good luck!!!
We are not all out there seeking drugs . I have been dealing with serious sciatica pain for over 7 years finally getting surgery in 2 weeks. .i have been drug free to maybe about a month ago taking 50 mg of tramadol every 6 hours it absolutely does nothing for my pain. .we are all different and respond differently to medications
A dose of 100 mg of Tramadol is the roughly the equivalent in strength to 5 mg of Percocet.
What if you took 50ml tablets 2.5 hrs apart by mistake
In my opinion, Percocet is stronger than Tapentadol. I've never heard of the generic name Nucynta before.
Tapentadol didn't work for me.
The only thing that helps me is Demoral and Percocet. They gave me Demoral while I'm in the hospital and Percocet for home.
All the other pain medicines to me is like taking aspirin. They don't work.
I hope this was helpful.
Tramadol is not as strong as percocet or vicodin
It got rid of my back pain caused by 2 slipped discs the first day only. It also helped my migraine. Day 2 no relief
My boyfriend started taking tramadol Friday and Sunday his nose broke out red with like blisters and now it looks like it's scraped. Has this been reported with any other cases?
Once you've had stronger narcotics, this medication is like popping an ibuprofen.
Hi After U try it for awile U might want to ask your doctor for something else too. i myself. My doctor gives it to me for breakaway pain and be careful at first it tends to make U very sleepy. But it does help for pain.
Doc said it make me very drowsy but handle my sharp pain from a severe ear ache... will find out tonight?
Per my pharmacist, Tramadol HCL 50 is not as strong as Percocet 5/325
I was just given Tramadol 50mg a few nights ago at the ER. Ive never heard of it either. I have always taken Viacodin (they only prescribe Norco now though,i think viacodin was removed from use) anyhow, the Tramadol helped but it made me so sick i had no choice but to return to the ER. I am allergic to codeine, but they said it didnt have that in it. I demanded they give me Norco (or viacodine) they tried arguing with me that how could i take that if im allergic to codeine? I said i dont know, but after every surgery thats what ive been given and it doesnt make me sick so thats what i want, not some drug that makes me this sick and ive never heard of before. So i got Norco 5mg, i really needed 10mg. The Tramadol 50mg works better than a 5mg Norco, but i just cant take it. I hope it worked for you. I hope my story helped. :)
