I have been taking meloxicam 15 mg for 21 days. For the past two mornings I've experienced very high BP readings, the first morning warranted an ER visit. The doctor said nothing about my taking meloxicam, neither did the EMTs that took me to ER. Eventually my BP returned to comfortable level and my blood work looked good. The doctor attributed the spike in BP possible dehydration. This is the highest my BP has ever been! Is meloxicam known for increasing BP?
Does meloxicam raise BP?

Hypertension(HBP) is a common side effect affecting 1% to 10% of people using this NSAIDs, very common to common side effects in most people, subside within 7 to 10 days, if not you must inform your DR., but you alreay have been to the ER. I disagree with the diagnose from the Dr. from the ER. Therefore I suggest you inform your DR., Meloxicam is prescription medication only.

Meloxicam may also cause stomach or intestinal bleeding, which can be fatal. These conditions can occur without warning while you are using this medicine, especially in older adults.
Call your doctor at once if you have symptoms of stomach bleeding, such as black, bloody, or tarry stools, or coughing up blood or vomit that looks like coffee grounds.
Avoid smoking and drinking alcohol, as they also increase your risk of stomach bleeding."
