I have been on ibuprofen 600mg one in the morning and one at night for a long time. My Doctors have taken me off that and put me on meloxicam 15 mg one in the morning and it is no way near as effective. Many of you have experience with meloxicam 15 mg, can you tell me please how long should I give it to start working the same? Will it work the same? When I told them it wears off before night they said use Tylenol. My doctor took me off that a long time ago. Thank you all!
Ibuprofen 600 mg twice a day versus meloxicam 15 mg in the morning?

All drugs have side affects. Meloxicam should not be used long term. I am 2 months on and 3 months off. When I’m off I use ibuprofen. I notice the difference when off the meloxicam. I also need to support pain with other medications such as tramadol and codeine. I remember that it took a little while to feel the effect and noticed the difference more when I was off. Hope this helps with your problem.
Meloxicam never did anything for my knees and back personally but if you are taking 1200mg ibuprofen every day even when not needed???
It’s got to be hard on your GI tract so I would recommend trying Meloxicam and possibly other NSAIDS.
