Ultram nor meloxicam will affect PMR. The only drug that deals with PMR inflammation is prednisone, usually 15-20 mg per day. It is an autoimmune disease and Drs do not know what causes it. There is a great support group on Facebook called Polymyalgia rheumatica... Lots of answers to the many questions you will have on this journey.
