I am taking it for the first time and am on day 5. I feel light headed, gassy, and the dreams are very intense(not nightmares)

yes from what I have read you can have what they call vivid dreams as you say not nightmares, other side effects are listed but as with all medications they have to list them I hope in some small way I have been of help if you have other problems please don't hesitate to talk with the doctor let us know how you are
It's unfortunate that no one who has used Pristiq responded.
Abnormal dreams, is a known side effect of Pristiq and happen in about 4% of the population taking it.

The link below has reviews (I haven't read through all of them) ... someone may have mentioned something of interest to you.
PRISTIQ is a very bad drug, if you think it is rough now? Just wait until you try to stop taking it. It is hell.
I am trying to get of pristiq. It has only been about 2 weeks since I started halfing the dose, from 100 to 50mg per day. The last 2 days I did not take them at all. ( Doctors orders are 2 days without it, then to 20mg of Lowan per day ) The last 2 nights I had the most terrifying and strange dreams of torture I ever had in my life. I even feel pain in my dreams and gag reflex. Funny the doctors don't warn people about this.
