Hi, Vdaria!
Everyone does respond differently and they sometimes have side effects that need to be reported to their doctor and the FDA.
I hoped you worked with your doctor during those two months because you shouldn't have been suffering needlessly.
Have you been able to start a different medication?

PS, I also take 200mg/day without any significant side effects.

Nightmares/vivid dreams are not listed as possible side effect.
I take 200mgs. of Lamictal and have not experienced any side effects, well, everyone reacts to medications differently.
