Psychotrophic medications like gabapentin are not prescribed by weight but by your response to the drug.
Doctors most often start at 300-600mg/day to determine if you're tolerating the medication well and if it's effective for you. If it isn't effective yet the dosage can be increased to a maximum of 1800mg-3600mg/day depending on the severity of your disorder.
