I am 80 year old male. For shingles pain I am taking 300mg twice a day. No effect but with 50mg aspirin taken at 3hrs interval three times a day I have a very good effect. Why? Should I continue? Is such a small dose aspirin along with gabapentin dangerous?
Gabapentin - can I take aspirin and gabapentin together for shingles pain?

If you were to stop the gabapentin I'll bet your pain would increase. Lyrica is also used for shingles, but can have side effects of blurry vision, & water retension. If the aspirin is working I would continue with that, & don't scratch...
There are no adverse effects or dangerous to take Gabapentine & low dose Aspirin, maybe a specialist doc would be able to address your question.
Take care, best wishes!
