FDA - Why does generic Adderall from Teva help my ADHD but the same generic from Zydus have no...

Teva is the only one that really works for me as well. Some other manufacturer's versions of Adderall will provide some improvement for my ADHD, while others, like those made from Camber Pharmaceuticals actually make me feel terrible. To include dizziness, sleepiness, and, pressure in my head. I don't know why all the others can't get it right. But it can be very frustrating. It's bad enough having to depend on a medication to be able to function, but it so much worse often times having difficulty finding a pharmacy that carries the only one that really works for me. The other pharmaceutical companies shouldn't even be making it since they can't seem to get it right. You are not alone in having to deal with this.

So Teva/Barr seems to work well most of the time . All the others are awful except one . The side affects from other versions like U-31 are like poison!

Binders have a major role on how it reacts in ur body so does the way its manufactured or synthesized in finalization.

I had the same problem... im convinced the other pills are fake since there no regulation on them. Call small shops. I emailed teva directly and now my pharmacy never is out.

Since all these different formulations contain the same active ingredient it's usually the inert ingredients (binders, fillers, coloring agents, etc.) at fault. These can vary greatly from manufacturer to manufacturer and may affect absorption of the drug in some people.
As others have said call around and find someone who carries your favorite or ask for a special order. Most pharmacies will comply although you may pay a bit more for it.

This brand has actually made me extremely sick. Avoid at all cost. Teva is going down in standard as well. The best generic is sandoz which is extremely hard to find. I’m in the process of demanding my insurance cover the brand name adderall IR as obviously the big pharmaceutical companies are watering down the product for money while they comprise people’s lives and health.

I would look for a 'Ma & Pa' pharmacy and forget the "big boys" (CVS, Walgreens, etc.). It's been my experience that such small, grassroots pharmacies actually care for me as a person and will find the brand that works for me. I also use TEVA and get great results. I've never used Zydus so I have no experience on that brand to report. Do keep the group updated!

I don't know where you live, but I had a hard time finding Teva Adderall. I finally found it at Walmart. Call around to all pharmacies in your area, it's a very popular brand, someone is sure to carry it. Good luck.

TEVA works great for me as well... the best. I'm concerned because the patent runs out July 6th of this year and I need a back-up plan...

Try to call around pharmacies in your area and ask if they carry the one manufactured by Teva. If yes have your pharmacy forward your prescription there and have them fill your prescription.
