Does it work? Cymbalta 60mgs is doing nothing for me. Wellbutrin was good , but made me hyer alert. I am now back onto Cymbalta cos the withdrawal was too painful. But the 60mgs does nothing. Only seeing the psych in 10 days time. Any answers?
Does anyone take Cymbalta AND Wellbutrin?

I was taking Celexa for 5 yrs. It stopped work on but worked well for that time. My psych doc put me on Warburton 300 XL I call it my miracle pill. I only took cymbals for a couple months so my withdrawal was mild. He told me that it's not a good drug. I am very happy with my results today.

Hi Katstew, my sister as on that combination and she had a seizure... doesnt mean you will but my advice is get off the cymbalta, its a bad bad drug, I know because I was on it for 5 years. Yes it was hard to get off it, 7 weeks weaning off it, onto prozac and I now feel great... good luck to you; Dee

I take Cymbalta and Wellbutrin but am going off of Cymbalta for weight gain and because it didnt work all that well for my depression. It worked wonders for my anxiety. Lexapro was the med I have had best success with. I had a 10-yr remission with Lexapro so I am going back on that. I am almost 14 days into withdrawal from Cymbalta. VERY slowly. Take it slow. Just push through it. Once I get down to 60 mg on Cymbalta I then start on the LExapro and taper up and continue to taper off of Cymbalta.

Hi you must be one of the lucky ones that can take Cymbalta did nothing for me. Is it for pain or mental? First it was given to me for mental then for my fibromyalgia. I was up to 120mgs, which is the max you can have. Maybe another thirty mgs. would help at first. Hope this helps Leron

HI. Mine is for depression. Been on it for 3 years but it stopped working a few months back. Moved on to 90 grams generic which was awful. Was changed to Wellbutrin by my house doctor but the withdrawal from the generic Cymbalta was so bad she put me back on proper Cymbalta- 60 mg again. The vertigo from the withdrawal has gone but I still feel pretty down. That's why I am asking about taking it with the Wellbutrin. But I will hang in until my psych visit. Thanks all;)

where did u find generic- I ordered some from Canada but it was fake. I switched to Cymbalta from Prozac 4 years ago and according to my sister was almost catatonic for about 2 weeks. It was awful. It took increase to 90 mgs and about 6 months but the suicidal thoughts that plagued me since teen years are gone--- I thank God Give it some time- is your thyroid ok? too many people don't get it tended too and being on the low side can really make a difference for some of us- like me. It does provide a change in pain perception but can't say it's ever been enough to reduce need for other meds. Good luck.God ( if that's ok to say on this forum and time can make a difference. I heard lots of people having good luck with Celexa at higher than usually prescribed doses.

Cymgen is available in S.A.. Its terrible, I had anxiety de luxe while on 90 mgs. My thyroid appears to be fine, my doc did a blood test two weeks back :)

Yes, I have taken both Cymbalta and Wellbutrin together with good results. Can't say whether the Wellbutrin will still make you hyper alert or not, but it is possible to take the two together. Your other option is to increase the Cymbalta to 90mgs. Want to encourage you to hang in there until the appointment. There maybe other options to investigate. I recently switched from the Cymbalta to Pristiq with excellent results and I also take Wellbutrin still.

Laurie, what dose of wellbutrin do you take. My hubby is on 75mg with 100 of zoloft. At first it really helped his grouchiness, but we are right back where we started. He is diabetic too , & I know the wellbutrin can raise glucose levels. May be why ony 75mg. Thanks, & sorry, should have posted my own question... Mary

No need to apologize hon. I take 300mg Wellbutirn XL which is the generally recommended theraputic amount. He may benefit from a slight increase, say to 150mgs. Would still be a relatively low dose. Worth asking the doc.

I had always taken Wellbutrin XL with cymbalta sixty.Than my co pay went to four thousand for ninety day. So I changed to Aplenzin one seventy fours.Now that went up to three thousand.so I'm on bupropion one fifty.SRs.I didn't have anxiety before but do now and stomach is stirred up.Yesterday I only took one fifty which I'm supposed to take two.So I'm gonna try an wean off of it and only take the cymbalta.Im gonna take 5-HTP to level off serotonin levels.

Both the mentioned meds are non narcotic, which means u will feel what u may in as long as six weeks from starting them. Got time Katie?? Good Luck
