I was prescribed 30mg of Cymbalta for acute on chronic pain in my low back two months ago. Since beginning, I have had numerous nightmares, several entire body muscle zaps or spasms while sleeping at night. I feel anxious or irritable at times, feel I can’t hold still, moving my feet and hands when watching TV in the evening. But, my back pain is a little better. I want to quit Cymbalta. I also take trazodone 50mg for insomnia which I found has a potential major drug interaction with Cymbalta. I have read many of the horror stories about withdrawal symptoms when trying to taper off Cymbalta—but wondering if anyone has had withdrawals taking 30mg after two months of use or similar situations? Also, two days ago was prescribed an NSAID, meloxicam, 7.5mg daily, this has resolved tendonitis in my elbow but think it has helped with some of the back pain as well. I will contact my PCP for her recommendations but appreciate real life experiences! Thank you for your time and insights.
