I have been on Suboxon 2mg once per day for a week now, I tried not taking anything 2 days ago and had the worse headache and nausea of my life!! I don't understand why I am feeling like this and I had only been on 2mg once per day and it was my 5th day!! The wd's were worse than coming off the perks I was on. Is this normal?
Can you have withdrawals off 2mg a day of Suboxon after 6 days?

Yes, it's normal. You can't jump off buprenorphine at 2mgs a day or you will suffer terribly. You need to come down slowly and get down to .5 or better yet .25mgs every other day. 2mgs is like jumping off a full dose. You have to remember that buprenorphine is 40 times stronger than morphine and you need to treated differently. Morphine, heroin ect are quick acting and addicts need to dose almost hourly with them as their half life is only a few hours. Buprenorphine has a minimum 72 hour half-life so it needs to be treated totally different.
If I were you I would get back on the 2 mgs and slowly ween down or you are going to run the risk of a relapse. The withdrawals will get much worse and can last months or more... Good luck and speak to your doctor about this asap...
Really?? Even though I only was on it for 6 days?? How do I break the piece even smaller than a 2mg?? I think thats how much I'm taking. I am on the orange pills that have an 8 on them. I got them from a friend because i couldnt afford the doctor visit right now and wanted to stop taking the perks. I have only been taking a quarter piece once in the morning and thats it.
You have to remember that you aren't going to solve this addiction in a week or two. You don't have near enough suboxone to really help you. All that it may do is keep you away from abusing for a week or so. As soon as you are done the suboxone the cravings will return tenfold. You really have to get into therapy for the suboxone to work. It is not a quick fix. Look at it this way, you have been heavily abusing for quite awhile. Your brain chemistry has changed and it takes years of not abusing for it to revert back. So grabbing 10 or 20 8mgs suboxone is just not going to do it. I know you are hoping it helps but really all it is doing is giving you a short break from abusing. Try and see a suboxone doctor or even a methadone doctor... Good luck...
This is very true been there done that. I had withdral symptoms 4 weeks and even after they were through, I was still not normal and Im still not normal from subs. You are fixing a small problem with a big problem. The withdral from perk is nothing compared to subs. I once quit for 30 days cold turkey from taking perks for 2 years a nightmare but nothing compared to subs or methadone (methadose) if you cant come slowly off perks you will never be able to quit subs or methadone. The withdral for me was 20x worse wouldnt wish it on the devil... Na and family and these forums helped could turkey. If this helps I find it much easier to stay moving even though thats a tough thought exercise helps 100% for me. Good luck
