I have been taking a starter dose of 5 mg twice per day for almost a week. Wondering if I can expect to feel any better on a dose this small? So ready for anxiety relief!
Buspirone - has anyone got any relief from this small of a dose?

Well, I've only taken it for a week and a half, so still waiting. Don't see my prescriber again till the 26th.
Yes! I've taken buspirone (BuSpar) for years with great success. I can drive, I can leave my house, I can go to social events. I don't worry constantly about insignificant little things. No anxiety attacks.
I swear by it!

It just depends on how you respond. 10mg/day is a small dose but if it works for you it will. Chances are you'll find you need an increase but that's okay. I'm drug resistant so I do take the maximum dose but it works for me and that's all that matters.
It seems from the reviews that it's about a 50/50 chance of it working but given the safety factors and relatively minor initial side effects (if any). Also, inexpensive! Worth a try.

I have never gotten relief from that medication myself but I'm curious to find out if anyone else has
Everyone is different. I initially started off on 5mg twice day, and over The first two months my dosage was steadily increased to a dose of 15mg 3 times daily. I’ve been on that dose for the last 20 years and it has worked great! Better living through chemistry. I hope this helps, anxiety is a tough nut to crack. Good luck to you.
