Started at 5 mg 3x a day My practioner upped it just the other day to 7 1/2 three times a day Still dizzy and anxious I hear it will take time to get adjusted. Was on xanax for 5 years, weaned off in 8 months after I reached tolerance. Been off 2 years now. It destroyed me. Just looking for upbeat info that eventually it will help. Thank You

It’ll take a few months. Probably 3 dosage adjustments. Eventually you will get to a dose that works well for you. For me it’s 15mg every 8 hours. I find that the even dosing really helps. You’re at a little bit of a disadvantage since you’ve previously been on Xanax. That medication works so quickly. Buspirone takes time. I think a lot of people quit because it’s not like Xanax, and/or it takes time for your body to adjust to it. I’ll tell you though, it has dramatically improved my quality of life. I hope this helps. Good luck to you!
Thank you for the heads up. Hopefully it will ge better.
