Are you seeing a Gastroenterologist? If not, why? If the triple therapy to treat the H pylori does not work, as mention by Stephen, then you should have either open surgery or laparascopic surgery. Laparascopic surgery has become the preferred method. In rare cases certain genes can cause the stomach to produce too much acid. A procedure called a vagotomy is used to correct this problem.
What are you taking for your ulcers? No anticoagulant is safe when you have ulcers. Everyone of them will make you bleed, if there is a source of bleeding.
Surely if a person had stomach ulcers they would be automatically tested for an Heliobacter pylori infection wouldn't they? What other things cause stomach ulcers?
The only options I can think of would be risky surgery or antacids/medication to increase stomach pH (I just discovered the medication I used to take isn't sold in the USA)?
I haven't seen surgery used for ulcers since the drugs like Zantac came around. Ive had 9 ulcers. Due to NSiADS. I tested negative for h. Pylori.
NSAID's are wonderful aren't they? I can't tolerate them at all.
