I agree with the other 2 answers. I only want to add that even though the opiate in Sub is absorbed in the mouth, some people get stomach pains anyway. I'm not sure why. When it happens to me I either take a liquid antacid like Mylanta. But sometimes I take an OTC antacid pill such as Zantac. I have to take the Zantac sometimes even though the doc's have me on Prilosec. So keep all this in mind.
It has been my experience that it doesn't matter. Just allow 20-30 mins for it to completely dissolve under your tongue ( pill and/or the strip ) before drinking or eating anything.
When you take your suboxone do not eat or drink anything for 30 minutes afterwards. Do not swallow it, make sure it melts under your tongue. Do not drink when it's disolving in your mouth.
I'm not sure about empty or full stomach, I don't think it matters.
Good luck!
