It isn't supposed to but sometimes people do feel the high. If you were on a low dose of opiates before or if your use was not long, or if you started on the standard, 16 mgs, you may feel a buzz of sorts for a week or two. I hope you will please hit comment and list what type of opiates you were previously one, how long you were taking them and how high a dose of subs you were started on, it will help me trouble shoot for you a bit. Many do have headaches when they first start subs, but they do go away. I had the high, but not the headaches. If you will add that info, I may be able to help some more, and do list how long you waited in withdrawal before you started subs. It helps, it is not me being nosy. Thanks, and welcome to our site, pattishan61
hydros 15-20 daily, for 6 months straight, and on and off for 3 yrs. My doc started me on 3 8mgs daily.I think its too much. Thanks for the help
Oh yeah ,that is too much but legally I can't say that, I am not a dr, but am former subs patient and successfully tapered off. Try only 1 table or film tomorrow, you will NOT go back into wd, promise, it will be 3 to 5 days before you feel any different as that is how long subs stay on the receptor sites in the brain. I won't tell you to skip taking it for a day or 2, but you would be fine. 3 tabs or films is for people on much higher doses of opiates, most drs don't know that. Go to YouTube.com and looks for SuboxDoc's 2 part video on how suboxone works in the brain, it is easy to understand. Welcome to our site and stay for support if you need it. Patti
and pay attention to how much subs he says is needed, much less than what any of us are prescribed at first. He is a psychiatrist and former subs patient himself.
Ive cut it down to .25 every 2hrs and feel much better! Thank you for the help.It was way too much for me and I didnt like how I felt.
Very glad you feel better, you can always take a bit more subs when/if you need it. Welcome and thanks for the update, you are welcome to stay for support.
8-12 fieoracet w codeine daily x 2.5yrs for pain. I wondering what dose they will start with and how long I will be sick or "not feeling well for". I SOOO sick of the pain but also having to take meds constantly. Also - wondering if anyone knows how this will affect Coumadin levels?
Sorry Clicka again, also how long people are normally tired, until they feel like they have normal energy & or "their life back"
Thank you
